I had my original implant with Dr K and a revision 8 months ago. I had no problems with the surgery and outcomes, Dr K did very good work. The out of pocket costs were in the region of A$8000. My private health insurance covered the hospital costs and Medicare covers the cost of the implant.

My only regret was not having the implant 3 years earlier than I did. You say have the choice of an implant or impotence, but have you tried injections with trimix? I am 5 months since revision and when deflated I curve or point to the left, but when inflated I am perfectly straight. I would not worry about your curve, it will most likely disappear when you start inflating.

My Doctor said 6 weeks for healing including sex. I lasted 5 weeks before giving the revision a work out.

I am not sure that what your urologist has told you is true. In my case I continue to have semis and am on my second implant. It would seem unlikely that for a revision that the surgeon would need to destroy any more tissue within the corpora.

The pain and discomfort you are feeling is normal at this stage. It took a full 6 weeks for me to mostly pain free and 12 weeks to be completely pain and discomfort free. Even now at full pressure i get some discomfort in the glans after 20-30 minutes.

I had to go nearly a month after my first implant failed before revision. I asked the urologist if there was a risk of scar tissue forming. His response was " not with the old implant still sitting in there". He was right, as size and shape is unchanged.
