I used the 5/16, 31 gauge syringe for a while, but did occasionally encounter a miss or a bent needle so I went back to the 30 gauge, 1/2 inch needle. I really didn’t feel that much of a difference. Thanks for the help guys. Turns out my doctor did not list what length needle to prescribe so the pharmacy went with 6mm which is their normal size for insulin but their fixing it today by giving me the 8mm needle. I'm so glad I joined this forum and asked before injecting. With such a short needle ...

Thanks I've got to check with the pharmacy about these needles. I thought it seemed kind of small so I'm glad I asked.
