Are implant doctors surgeons??
Checking the backgrounds of several urology implant doctors in the Indianapolis area, I don't see that any have surgeon training. Is it typical for a urologist to do implants without being a surgeon? If so, how would they have gotten training to do implants? How can I learn the competency of any imp...

Re: Surgery holes near the tip of your penis
Don't think the thread is attached to the tip of the tube, only looped through through it. So, cut the sting and pull the string through the loop and out of the glans. Think of the string as a loop, like a rubber band is a loop. It is easy to cut the loop, and remove. The string is pretty much like ...

Re: Surgery holes near the tip of your penis
After pulling the implant in place, the thread is cut and pulled out. So, it must not be tied to the implant, the thread must be just looped through a small hoop at the end of the implant. cut the thread, pull it out.

Re: Surgery holes near the tip of your penis
There will be two very small needle size holes on the tip of your penis. If you should watch any of the implant videos on you tube, you will see that a needle is pushed up the corporas on each sice, and exits the end of the penis. Attached to the needle is a thread that is used to pull the implant i...

Re: Chemo/Radiation with implant?
I am not implanted, but do have a shoulder replacement, and mesh implant for hernia repair. All products implanted into humans are designed to not create an immune response, or cause any infection. Otherwise they would never work. Last year, I had 38 treatments of external radiation to treat prostat...

Re: Implant Attachment
Suggest you watch some of the u-tube videos show actual inplant surgery. Search for "penile implant on utube." You will see specifically what is done during surgery. No, nothing is attached to bone. I think the end of the implant just rests against the pelvic bone. Penis length is shortene...

Re: Cath after implant
I had a foley cath in for a week after prostate surgery, wasn't painful, just uncomfortable. 6 weeks later had a foley installed because of side effects from surgery for two weeks. I learned that the irritation discomfort was at the entry point into my johnson. If I lubed the foley tube 4-5 times a ...

Re: Implant surgeons, Dr. Jason Kovac, Indianapolis, IN
No responses.............so guess no one on the forum has had an implant from a doctor in the Indianapolis area. Is there an on line directory(s) available giving info on doctors regarding their expertise, and or, law suits brought against them. Maybe that info will be helpful. Thanks Rooster2 (Larry)

Implant surgeons, Dr. Jason Kovac, Indianapolis, IN
Slowly gathering info regarding an implant. Does anyone have an opinion on Dr. Jason Kovac? I continue to be treated by a doctor in the Urology of Indiana group. Dr. Kovac performs implant surgery within the same group, so know I would have insurance coverage. Any other implant surgeons in the Indy ...
