Re: Recovery Time ( pain free )

Tybeeman is right: experiences of successful, competently performed penile implant surgery vary enormously. If it's any comfort to you, I was told to expect significant discomfort for a fortnight, commencing about a week post-op. What I actually experienced was debilitating pain for 7 weeks that lar...

Re: Pain when deflating valve

If my experience is any guide, things will improve as the buildup of swelling (or whatever it is) around the pump subsides and your scrotum accepts the new tenant. Like yours, my pump was adhering awkwardly to the scrotum for quite some time. First 7 weeks for me were tough indeed, but now, at about...

Re: Impants and bicycling

Got fitted up for a Specialized thing a few weeks ago - right width on the sit bones cos I have a big arse, and it is a real improvement on the Brooks on that account. Still a bit tender when I get in the drops/on the rivet, but improving. Now I have to get a white one to match the bike...

Re: how are partners coping with longer sex sessions and penis rigidity?

The bride is managing in surprised delight. It isn't something we've been used to for a very long time: I think that while we acknowledged an "issue", both of us held back on just how big an issue it was. Now we are going through an adjustment in terms of what we can ask of each other. Alo...

Re: The Second Most Intriguing Motivator for Implants

Although it's not something I considered at all before my implant, I do now enjoy carrying a bit of weight between my legs. My African-American friends laugh when I tell them of the rebuild, but it's nervous laughter.

Re: 3 Inches and no change

Michael, Well, the in-between woman sounds a right bitch. I trust she's now found the sort of companionship she deserves. With raging, purulent herpes lesions to remind her of all the great times she's had, spreading goodness and light. But seriously, your story is very sad, and I feel for you. You'...

Re: Impants and bicycling

Implanted May 22, and my first morning back on the bike today - a veeery gentle few km. It is plain that I need a saddle with a large cutout in it. Much as I have loved the B17, I doubt that I shall be perching on it any longer: pump is right on the ridge of the saddle. Not good.

Re: Would you recommend your surgeon?

Yes: Dr. Justin Chee in Melbourne, Oz. Two or three consultations pre-op, consults at day 1, week 2, week 4-5, week 8 (so far) post-op. And his staff are excellent and good for a laugh, too. Does both AMS and Coloplast. Didn't get heavily into discussion of the pros and cons of each with me, but I d...

Re: Biking Leakage

Post RP my leakage was pretty well under control until I got back on the bike. More short sharp type kegels helped that greatly, but still had very slight leakage when I had the implant done 2 months later. Haven't got back on the bike since then: and have suffered a sad loss of fitness as a result....
