Re: pump bulb flat

I have lost count but I believe I have had around 10 surgeries related to the implant. 4 of those being because I had a serious infection. After the infection they put in a cx and it was a little short due to scar tissues that built up when there was no implant installed. In January I had a revision...

Re: What does the future hold for young implanted guys?

For me I look back and wish I would have gotten the implant sooner and not wasted my time with the pills and shots that were not reliable . I lost a marriage and wasted many years trying to find something that would work. I have had possibly more revisions than anyone here and I would get a revision...

Re: pump bulb flat

I had the same thing happen this year after I had a revision from a cx to a lgx. The dr thought there was a slow leak but turn out that they didn’t add any fluid to the reservoir during the revision and the lgx expanded and used more fluid. They just went in and everything was holding pressure so th...

Re: Boston Scientific wins FDA approval for penile prosthesis pump

I had a revision in January and was under the impression I was getting the new pump since it was FDA approved but come to find out they haven’t released it to the market to be used. My surgeon told me it would probably be toward the end of this year before they will be available for use.

Re: Broken again?

Yea a lot of dr’s might have just replaced everything but because of my infection history he didn’t want to disturb any of the parts and risk that . He also said that the fluid looked pristine and when there is a leak you will usually get a little contamanents from your body back into the system whi...

Re: Broken again?

Infrapubic they make a small incision to get to the tubing and disconnected the splice to the reservoir and pressure tested everything and when everything passed they just added the correct amount of fluid. Pumped it up several times and didn’t see a leak anywhere and rechecked the fluid amount and ...

Re: Recommendations for Implant Surgeon in Southern California

I agree with dr Doyle from USC , he is great and the hospital staff are fantastic, Dr Doyle also has Dr Boyd assist in the surgeries and he was one of the original pioneers of the IPP

Re: Broken again?

I had a procedure yesterday to look for the leak , but they did not find one and just put more fluid in the system. So apparently during the last revision they did not add enough fluid back. I should be good to go now

Re: Broken again?

Oldbeek , Yes you are correct USC has lots of lawyers and probably the reason why no one wanted to take my case, but like the op, I was told by USC it was approved and then after the revision they refused to pay. Only after I threatened about taking them to court did USC take care of the 30k bill th...
