Re: Implant and Age

Hi Charlie, In a previous post you asked me about my insurance coverage, and I forgot to include that in my answer. Sorry. I have Medicare and Tricare. Paid every dime of it. The only expense I had was getting there, and only cost gas, because I drove from Orlando to Coral Gables and back. I did sta...

Re: 5 months post-op second implant

Hello LM - sure glad you are doing so well. If you remember, I had mine done by Dr. Perito about 11 weeks ago. Had very little pain, and no problems. Life is great now. I will never forget Dr. Perito. He is indeed a great surgeon. Glad you got to him on your second time around. You have had a rough ...

Re: Very Scared - Just Had Surgery

Hi David -- Hope you are felling much better by now. I also had my implant by Dr. Perito, and had no trouble at all. I am 11 weeks post op now, and everything is great. One of the reasons I chose Dr. Perito was because of his ability to get it done in a very short time, therefore, greatly reducing t...

Re: Newbie - need help

Hello old car. I'm 82. Had my implant done in July this year, and my only regret is that I didn't do it 20 years ago. If you have any questions, ask away. I'll be glad to help.

Re: Questions for those that already have an implant

Hi olivero. Yes, and I'm sure glad, too. The operative site caused no pain. As I previously reported, my wife removed stitches at 15 days post op. At this stage, I am hoping and praying that others just beginning this journey will come thru as well as I did. I can't begin to explain how this has cha...

Re: Questions for those that already have an implant

My doc was dr Paul Perito, coral gables fl. He has done more than 6000 implants, and it really shows. I would highly recommend him. I had a little pain the first night. After that, had it easy. He activated me 4 wks post op, and everything has been great. My wife is an M.D., and was with me the whol...

Re: Questions for those that already have an implant

I am about 11 weeks post op and feel absolutely great in every respect. My only regret is that I didn't have this done 15 years ago. I can now do things that a 20 year old guy cannot do, even on his best day. My initial pain was very little, and recovery was easy. My wife is completely satisfied, an...

Re: Please comment

Hey Softglans, I can appreciate your concern about VL. I, too, was diagnosed with VL. That coupled with long term diabetes, severely hampered my ability for sexual activity. Viagra, CIA Isis, etc., injections, and everything else did little to help. My doc recommended implant, which was done in earl...
