Doc walks in and say "You're cancer free!"
I went in for my first 3 month PSA visit this morning and the docs says "Good news, you're cancer free"! PSA number is 0.04 (undetectable) as of 7 days ago when I gave them the blood sample. I'm hoping it's the first of many undetectable results. He also told me that because I'm responding...

Re: About to take the plunge!
Update: Gave myself a .2ml (20 unit) injection of Papaverine this morning. It produced about a 50 percent erection that lasted about 30 minutes . Not enough to do the deed for sure but just enough for a good hand job. On Wednesday I'll increase to .4ml. The best thing about it was no pain whatsoever...

Re: About to take the plunge!
I'm gonna wait till Monday morning to try the Papaverine for the first time just as I did for the Alprostadil in case I have to make a visit to the clinic to deal with a possible case of priapism. I want to avoid a trip to the ER. A clinic visit will be cheaper (hopefully free) than the ER route ($1...

Re: About to take the plunge!
I was finally able to get a prescription for something other than the very painful Alprostadil. It took almost 3 weeks to of calls and emails to get some attention from my Urology team, but that's another story I'll save for later. The script is for Papaverine (30mg/ml strength). I found 2 local com...

Re: Hello from SC
Hi Tobor and Happy Thanksgiving, You should definitely check out injecting thoroughly before even thinking about irreversible implant surgery. Implants seem to work great for the guys who have no other options, but once you have it done there's no going back. You mentioned a less invasive method-thi...

Re: PRICKSTICKER PECKERCHECK
After a quick search I'm thinking you're probably correct. I met Dr. Larry Hollier, Chancellor of the LSU Health Sciences Center. Is that his dad?

Re: PRICKSTICKER PECKERCHECK
Greg,
While reading your message I realized I had met Dr. Hollier through work long before my prostate started acting up. He was based at the Health Sciences Center on Tulane Ave. here in New Orleans before Katrina. Small world, huh.
Thanks for the contact info.

Hey Greg,
If my guy at Tulane doesn't work out I'll definitely be asking you for your doc's name and number. The 70 mile drive will be worth it.

Re: About to take the plunge!
Jim: The pain I experienced was much worse than the kind you're talking about. At its worst I couldn't even touch it lightly without without causing almost unbearable pain. The discomfort extended down into the perineum area and to the buttocks making it uncomfortable even sit or lie down. I'm almo...

Re: About to take the plunge!
Today I decided to give the Alprostadil (Caverject) another try. An hour before the injection I took 3 Advil tablets in an attempt to reduce the pain I experienced the first time I tried the Alprostadil. Also, I was also to try out the AutoJect II I bought, which worked great. I reduced the dosage t...
