Question about upcoming revision. How was it for YOU?

Postby Rider1400 » Mon Feb 09, 2026 7:01 pm

Scheduled for revision February 25th with Clavell. You can read my other post on why but short of it is misplaced reservoir and tips of cylinders migrating causing discomfort for me and my wife and impending erosion. Discussed with Clavell and going back with same brand…Titan and classic pump.
My question…. How is cycling with new implant as opposed to original. I’m guessing he will likely go with 1 or 2cm longer implant as with most revisions. Guess my question is I’ve read others seemed to not loose as much after surgery as we did initially. I lost almost an inch but over the first year I regained all of it back, with lots of cycling. Was the case the same with revision. Seems I read where some didn’t loose the length with revision? Is cycling as painful as it was on initial implant? I’ve had mine almost 4 years now and actual function is great as far as I’ve always pumped til I ran out of fluid since about the 12 months in time. I always felt a little stretch as I maxed up until the last 6-8 months and don’t feel the stretch at max any more but still get very hard. Is it easier? Clavell said the recovery is usually easier. What was your experiences with your revision?

I assume that Dr. Clavell is hoping I will respond to your post. Dr. Clavell did my revision on 11/12/2025. I am very happy with it. My original implant was a CX in which the right cylinder ruptured and the cylinder adhered to the wall of the corposa cavernosa. after scraping away the right cylinder from corposa cavernosa, Clavell replaced with Titan. I needed the Titan because I have significant girth and, being gay, engage in anal sex as a top. I needed the Titan also because it is very rigid. I did not lose any size. My partner and I really enjoy the Titan. I really appreciated Dr. Clavell's expertise because removal of the CX was time-consuming and Dr. Clavell is so thorough regarding prevention of infection. Recovery was much easier than original performed in 2015 because Clavell does not use catheters and surgery was performed on an outpatient basis. Dr. Robert Cornell did original implant. Cornell did not encourage me to cycle and due to marital discord with my then wife, I did not inflate much. Clavell cleared me to cycle at 5 weeks and it has been relatively pain free.
