Hi everyone, this is my first post...
I was implanted with a Coloplast Titan XL seven weeks ago. I had a 24cm+1cm RTE. 13cm's distal.
At four weeks, I was cleared to cycle. My instructions were absurdly simple: Inflate until I feel pressure for five minutes 2x a day and gradually increase my time. I was told I should feel pressure, but not pain. I asked about regaining my original size, I was told (somewhat dourly) that the device restored function--but I would be smaller than my original size. He seemed miffed that I'd even be concerned since he said I was in the top 5% of penis size.
Seriously, I got that impression that he had a small dick and was bitter.
So I've turned to ChatGPT and Gemini for cycling advice. Problem is, they disagree.
ChatGPT is very conservative--but claims it's conservatism is it's secret to ultimate gains. It claims that it's all about modest and consistent stretch while avoiding 'reactive' tissue response from over-training.
Gemini is aggressive, calling for max pumps and long holds. It even suggests holding some pumps while I sleep at night for a "slow roast."
It's been three weeks of cycling, trying to find a happy medium between the two approaches. I've had minimal success. My pre-surgery size was 8" long x 6" circumference. On day one of cycling, I was 7.5" long and 5 3/8"c. Now, I'm 7.5" long and 5.5"c. Both ChatGPT are confident, that if I follow their proscribed plans, I'll end at about 8" long and 6.3" c by month 6.
I'm not concerned about length, but 1/2" of lost circumference is bumming me out and 1/8" girth gain in three weeks isn't filling me with much hope. Weirdest of all, my penis core feels hard, but even at max pump, my skin feels loose and the angle of my erection is poor (below 90 degrees).
Where should I turn for advice? Does both AI's size estimate hold water? Which cycling route should I take? Neither?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Re: AI Cycling Advice of Inflatable Implant
Rustyshovel, congrats on a successful surgery and welcome to the bionic brotherhood ! AI is valuable and has its place, but its far from a trusted source since its just a mixing bowl of what it "reads" in the same places we all look. That's why information from different AI's is often not identical. AI is not an expert and likely has no information about your specific physiology or surgical outcome -- therefore it cannot give you trusted advice. Even on FT you'll find advice that ranges from "squeeze that pump aggressively until you pass out", to, "cycle without strong pain and increase gradually".
First, pay heed to your Dr's advice, regardless of whatever "size issues" he may or may not have. He's the only voice that knows your physiology and surgical outcome.
Second, listen to guys who actually have real experience with this, and work with the variations of what they describe.
Third, take a step back, and realize how fortunate you/we are to regain this function. Focus on making the most of that, rather than a 1/2 inch here, or a 1/4 inch there.
For me, I chose to go gradually and it took around 9 months to get back to pre-op size. I have no regrets
Best wishes !
