We're you prescribed these meds before your surgery?

Postby macoza » Fri Jan 02, 2026 1:01 pm

Hi guys.. My implant surgery is next week. I was prescribed Sulfamet-trim and Fluconazole for 3 days before the surgery. Were any of you guys prescribed these meds? Is it normal to take these meds days before surgery?

My surgeon gave me one dose of fluconazole (an antifungal) and started me on Cephalexin (a broad spectrum antibiotic) three days before the surgery. I continued the antibiotic for a week after the surgery, with a second dose of fluconazole 4 days after the surgery as well. I think every surgeon has their own protocol based on their own preferences and the pathogens most commonly responsible for surgical infections in their hospitals/clinics

Appreciate the answer brother. A few questions for you...

1. How do you like your implant? Any issues?

2. Did the surgery affect your libido in any way?

3. Did the meds cause any side effects?

4. How's the sex with the implant?

1. How do you like your implant? Any issues? I love my implant wish I had gotten it sooner. No issues with mine.

2. Did the surgery affect your libido in any way? No change in libido, but now I have confidence I can when I want to and she is in the mood.

3. Did the meds cause any side effects? I didnt take meds other than ibuprofen 800mg and a cpl narcotics but I only used them 2 times, the ibuprofen 800 worked well for me.

4. How's the sex with the implant? Sex has been great! I can stay hard as long as I need to even after I blow. But she is pretty close with me so there is never much of a need to much longer.
