Just got diagnosed with Peyronies again, want to get an implant when I can, I have some questions:

This is for the guys who experience an onset of curving or bending of their penis. PD is a frustrating condition which often creates significant emotional and mental distress. It overlaps several other sexual function conditions.

Just got diagnosed with Peyronies again, want to get an implant when I can, I have some questions:

I (23M) had a bought with Peyronies (twice!) a few years ago, now I have another plague. I don't even know how I could have possibly gotten it. Since I was already struggling with Peyronies symptoms before (ED, curvature), and because I'm clearly very prone to Peyronies, I want an implant as soon as I can get one. So, as weird as it sounds to say, ED and curvature aren't big concerns for me right now, I just want to maintain size and get an implant ASAP. My Questions are:

What can I do to limit size loss? I've already ordered a RestoreX, but is there any vitamins/pills I should be taking, or any other procedures I should be doing right now?

How can I start the process of getting an implant? Do I have to go through a trial-and-error process with my urologist until nothing else works and only be eligible then, or can I request it or get a procedure done at a specialty clinic (I heard about Dr. Trost's clinic, and I'm interested in that).

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Might be a question for you insurance - what do they need in order to cover the surgery?

Even if they require you to try pills and shots (Trimix) first, its not like anyone is at your home watching to make sure you do.

Get the script for whatever preliminary steps they require, and just tell your urologist it didn't work.

Hi guy. I feel your pain. I had big loss cause I tried to fix it myself. Had dents along the shaft and a 45 degree bend at first but luckily went away. The fibroses started in and that's dead tissue in the corpora.

Start using the VED right away and get a cheap one with a gauge. Start slowly but get routine down and if you can do it in morning and evening. PM if you have questions

Take care and you do need to do it now
Implanted with Titan by Dr Eid in 2013. Severe Peyronies. With no bend. Lost right kidney to cancer in ‘99. Aortic valve and arch replacement in 2000 Am on TRT and use VED for therapy

I developed Peyronie's seemingly overnight and ended up with about a 55° curvature. After seeing a urologist, he recommended a Restore X device and also started me on pentoxifylline twice daily along with low-dose Cialis once daily.

The explanation I was given was that the pentoxifylline helps limit fibroblast activity and reduce additional plaque formation, while the daily Cialis helps improve blood flow and oxygenation of the penile tissue, which is especially important after Restore X sessions.

I lost roughly 2 inches of length during the acute phase, but I was able to regain most of that over time. One advantage I had was that I mostly work from my home office, so I could use the Restore X device consistently and probably more often than many people are realistically able to. Yes, there have been many times where I was on a Zoom or Teams meeting without pants on, LOL.

Eventually I hit a plateau where the curvature stopped improving. At that point I elected to undergo multiple rounds of Xiaflex injections. Between the Restore X, medications, and Xiaflex treatments, I was able to reduce my curvature from about 55° down to approximately 25°. That's completely manageable for me, and more importantly, the severe pain I was experiencing before treatment is gone.

It was a long road and definitely not something that improved overnight, but I'm pleased with the results. I remain on pentoxifylline and daily Cialis as a preventive measure. My wife and I have talked about it, and if I ever go through another significant Peyronie's episode, I would likely choose an implant rather than repeat the entire treatment process again.

Everyone's situation is different, but that's been my experience.
56, married 33 years to an amazing woman with a high sex drive, BPH, PD (47deg down to ~25deg) treatment: Xiaflex with Pentoxifylline & Cialis, traction. Able to have intercouse again - will implant if PD takes a turn (pun intended) for the worse.
