Background
I have had moderate ED for a long time, pills always worked but eventually if I used a condom I would lose the erection fairly quickly. In 2020 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and had my prostate removed in October of that year. I had no erections for about 16 months and then started to get nighttime erections whilst taking 10mg of Cialis every other day at night. During this time I discovered that I had Peyronies with a strong curve to the left.
I consulted with a doctor in India about getting surgery to correct the curve but he suggested I try using a traction device to try to straighten the curve. although this did not fully correct the Peyronies it allowed me to regain a lot of the length I had lost after prostate surgery.
Eventually after a lot of research I settled on Dr. Banga in India, utilizing a medical tourism group called Cure-India. I met a gentleman living in my home town in Thailand through a mutual friend who was also planning a trip to India to get an inflatable implant with Dr. Banga so we coordinated our trips to go at the same time.
The Surgery:
I got the malleable implant on December 4th, not exactly sure how long the surgery took but probably longer than most because the doctor had to remove the fibrosis from Peyronies and replace it with a graft. The external incision was sub coronal which was necessary due to the fibrosis.
Implant Size:
Rigicon Rigi 10 malleable
Diameter: 12mm, not sure of length used but measurements during surgery were
Distal L-10 R - 9.5
Proximal L - 9 R - 9
.5 inch rear extenders on both sides.
Honestly I do not think he could have put anything bigger inside me. For the first week to 10 days post surgery due to the swelling everything was so tight, I could not even. move any of the skin on my shaft. That has changed and continues to change. The sub-coronal stitches continue to recede and the doctor said they will take about 4 weeks to fully dissolve. The interior stitches an d graft will take anywhere from 8-12 weeks to fully heel.
I cannot have sex until the 8 week mark due to the graft.
Penis Size:
Before cancer I was 6 inches bone pressed in length and never measured girth.
Since my prostate surgery in 2020 I have not been able to measure erect length due to the curve in my penis, but manual stretching I measured at 4 7/8 inches before I started using the traction device. Prior to the implant I could manually stretch to about 6 1/4 inches, not sure how that would actually translate into erect length. I also measured girth at 4.5 inches everywhere.
Post surgery, I get different measurements depending on swelling. But best estimate now is 5.5 inches bone pressed in length and 5 inches in girth. I am only 16 days post surgery so I am sure these numbers will change, but I had prepared myself to lose a lot more length so I am very happy with the results so far.
Post Surgery:
My penis leans to the left and it has been this way since prostate surgery, I am able to straighten it by moving the implant around so that will not be an issue for sex if it stays that way. I have not had any issues with urination, the first time after the catheter was removed I had a little dried blood but none since then and no pain at all urinating. Bowel movements are fine as well.
I am able to bend my penis fully up and partially downwards (I am not talking about using the hinge simply my ability to move an stow the penis with underwear. I have not tested the hinge yet as the peyronies was very close to where the hinge is and I need to be careful not to bend too much or too long in that area so as to allow the graft to fully heal. This is also why I do not bend the penis downwards too much. The graft will take about 12 weeks to fully heal so I will play it by ear until then.
I have not really had much pain since the surgery, 2 nights I have had problems sleeping because it felt like my penis was going to burst through the skin, I think I may have manipulated my penis around too much on those days. In general sleeping is difficult as the stitches get irritated if my blanket rubs against them and I also am not a back sleeper which I have to do for now. At home I mostly do not wear underwear or pants as it is uncomfortable to wear those for longer periods of time. I have a little puffiness on the left side around the stitches which is normal and getting smaller all the time. That puffiness gets bigger when I have been out fully dressed for a few hours.
My only frustration is that I am harder than I have been in 6-10 or more years and I can’t do anything with it. Might try light masturbation once the stitches are gone. Guess thats not really such a bad problem to have compared to the alternative.
