Hi everyone,
I haven’t had any consultations yet just trying to learn as much as I can and mentally prepare before meeting with doctors.
One thing I’ve been curious about is the cycling routine after surgery. When you guys talk about “doing cycling,” do you mean fully inflating and keeping it hard for 30–60 minutes straight? Or is it more like doing multiple inflate/deflate rounds during that time (pump → hold → release → repeat)?
Basically, I’m trying to understand how much time and effort it actually takes each day. Do most guys dedicate about an hour just for this, or can you pump it up, leave it for a while, and go about your business until it’s time to deflate?Any insights or personal routines you can share — how long, how often, tips for privacy or comfort — would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Nick, my doctors protocol was 20 minutes twice a day pumped to the max that you can get it.
For me at six weeks when I started cycling, I could barely get in 10 pumps because of tenderness in my scrotum and pain in my whole dick. So I just pumped as much as I could for 20 minutes twice a day when I started. As time went on I could get in more pumps. You can also get in some more pumps after a few minutes when your tissues stretch out.
A few weeks after I started cycling, I did some extra cycling because I was having so much pain in my glans area.
I would get in a warm bath tub filled full to keep my dick warm with the bath water. I would pump up to about 70 percent and bend my dick up and down and side to side for 5 minutes and then pump it to the max and see how long I could go without crying uncle because of the pain. I would do this extra cycling 3 to 4 times a week while my wife did her morning walks. We were empty nesters, so I didn’t have to worry about kids or grandkids.
For me it took a long time before I didn’t have a lot of pain in my glans. At 6 months, I finally got to where I could go 1.5 hours fully pumped with discomfort at the end of that time.
I still cycle in the shower once or twice a day because of working outside or going for bike rides. I feel that it keeps everything stretched out.
I’m just 15 days from having my implant for 4 years.
I hope that helps
But do follow your doctors basic protocol

Re: Cycling
Nick you are at a good place to get info.
Doctors orders always come first.
I don’t get the extreme pain anymore, but
I mix it up. I’ll pump up a few pumps give a couple min and a few more pumps, repeat till maxed out. If I’m walking around the house I’d leave it till whenever. If I was watching tv I would back it down a bit when the pain kept me from focusing for a bit, then repeat.
I’m reading that for the first year this needs done on a daily basis.
Note: you don’t need to max it out for sex.
Good Luck on your journey.
