I’m specifically looking for assistance from guys who have experience with the Tenacio pump. I know everyone has their opinions about different pumps and implants…I get it, but I need some help with the Tenacio.
I recently got a revision which included tenacio pump and an AMS CX cylinders from Dr Hakky. I’m on my 3rd day of cycling and there hasn’t been any action in the cylinders. My first implant was a Titan (which ultimately got infected and the left cylinder was protruding from my head). When I started cycling my Titan, I was able to get to 100% by day 3. With the Tenacio, I’m pumping the hell out of this thing and am getting to about 10%-15%. I’ve tried squeezing the deflate button for 4-6 seconds to reset it, then tried again; but I received the same results. I visited Dr. Hakky about this and he pumped it up to the same semi that I could get it to, then he said “see you’re getting some inflation.” I told him that whatever that is, there’s no way I could have sex with it because it’s not even close to being able to penetrate with; it’s too soft.
I know everyone has their opinions and I’m aware that the Titan and the AMS CX are different. Since I can’t go back in time and get a different pump, I really need some insight from those who have had experience specifically with the Tenacio pump.
1. Has anyone has a similar issue occur?
2. How long did it take to inflate to 100% capacity?
3. Is there a way to override this issue? (I’ve tried using the reset for a sticky pump, but didn’t have any luck.)
4. Can the Tenacio pump even get my CX cylinders to inflate? I’m not seeing any indications of that yet.
Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate it. I really hope someone can help me out because this is mentally kicking my ass.

Well but what Hakky has to say?
He just think it's fine like it is?

He inflated it to about 10% and said “you’re not going to be as hard as you were with a Titan.” Initially he said that the pump was too deep then he said it’s because it’s new. He kept eluding that I won’t get much harder than that. Then he said we’ll watch it.
This just sounds off to me. What’s the point of an implant that will not inflate and become rigid enough for sex? If I can’t get much harder than 10%, I can’t use it.

I agree that's defo something off. Idk maybe you are lucky and it will fix itself, but hakky should have been more supportive. Also just for clarification, your first Titan was from hakky and you got infection and erosion?
During the months you were implantless you followed any specific routine in order to not lose size?

Sorry for what you're going through, mate. Dr. Hakky is a skilled surgeon. A friend told me his post-op concerns felt repeatedly brushed off and things were great until problems arose. I won’t go into details. That said, Dr. Hakky is world class, known to treat patients like a buddy, makes people feel better and has excellent bedside manners that's unmatched in the industry.
I highly recommend a second objective opinion for your peace of mind.

I ensured to cycle 2x day for 30-45 mins which ensured that I didn’t lose size with the Titan.

Re: Tenacio Pump: HELP
My back story I got implanted by Hakky on Apr 15, 2025 with a 24 CX with 2 RTEs and the Tenacio pump.
1. Has anyone has a similar issue occur? I have not.
2. How long did it take to inflate to 100% capacity? I am still cycling & I am not yet at 100% because the bulb never gets rock hard
3. Is there a way to override this issue? (I’ve tried using the reset for a sticky pump, but didn’t have any luck.) Does your bulb get rock hard. What happens if you continue cycling/pumping?
4. Can the Tenacio pump even get my CX cylinders to inflate? I’m not seeing any indications of that yet. My cylinders definitely inflate to the point where the tips actually start to hurt. It is more than hard enough for PIV sex. I am hoping to max out the length soon so that I can get more girth expansion.
Right now my inflated length is right at 8 inches and the girth is 1 10/16 inch wide. I measure width and not circumference. I hope to get to 1 12/16th inches fully inflated eventually. What I find is that my girth is bigger when I am not fully inflated because I get better blood flow I think.
It seems that your Titan definitely gives more girth for sure.
Hopefully Hakky will have a resolution for you soon. My understanding is that revisions tend to go go more smoothly than the initial implant. Maybe your issue is related to the recall of some of the Tenacio pumps. I would try to specifically exclude that as a possibility. Maybe call the manufacturers rep and ask them some specific questions.
If Hakky's response and interaction with you was as you related it to be, that would be very disheartening for those of us who are his patients.
Hang in there I believe you are in good hands and you will achieve the desired results soon.

24cm CX 2 RTE done 4/15/25 Dr Hakky. Born 1962, Venous leakage, pills worked for a few years, injections too painful. Had been looking at implant for a few years, finally decided to do it.

Re: Tenacio Pump: HELP
Dprimal, in another thread, johnHC described a recall on the Tenacio pump. Based on his description it's possible that might explain very slow pumping up. Here's a link to the list of Tenacio pump serial numbers included in the recall, and you can check your pump's serial number against it. It is on a Canadian website, but my understanding is that the list is not specific to country. Its easier to search if you click the Up arrow button under "Model or catalogue number". That puts it in serial number order.

JohnHC wrote:IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!!
Ok from what I just learned from my Boston Rep, these pumps are all hand assembled at the factory. On one of the assembly lines and on certain lot ranges/serial numbers - a few may have had the tubing pushed in too far causing the tubes to narrow which makes them very difficult to inflate and deflate. It does not have anything to do with the release button or it's operation. So as long as you can pump it up and deflate it normally then most likely your pump is ok.
If you can't inflate it or deflate it then you might have one of these pumps. Now since they do test inflations in the operating room most of these were of course caught and rejected before they were implanted but a few might have slipped by and that is why they are doing a voluntary recall on these certain lots and serial numbers. So again if your pump is working good at inflating and deflating you are most likely good.
The ability to press and lock in the valve is purposely hard in order to make sure that there are no mistakes as you really wouldn't want it to accidently deflate while you're being intimate. Hope this helps out and doesn't stress anyone out.
