Dr. Clavell's Patients: Post-Surgery Travel

I put my deposit down for a surgery date for a revision. The scheduler said I could fly home the next afternoon or evening. That seems optimistic, but I've never flown to a medical procedure before.

Also, any tips on making the trip easier are much appreciated.

I am close to 6 weeks out.
I traveled for surgery to Houston and flew back the second day after surgery. He suggested I stayed at least one night to make sure I was emptying my bladder. Trip back wasn't that bad thanks to his nerve block.

I have read that it is worth it to pay for first class and have also seen someone write that they used wheelchair access.

Don’t plan on walking at normal speed.
