My advice is to not get an implant

Postby Mark1974 » Sun Jul 06, 2025 6:56 pm

If you are lucky enough not have committed genital suicide, my heartfelt advice is to not do it.

It is going to make your life really hard (see what I did there)

Seriously, don't do it
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

Mark, what exactly happened? You seriously have me curious now. I’m not over enthusiastic about the implant either, but you make it sound like a death sentence.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

Have you tried sex yet ?
Were you a sexual person before the implant ?
Didn't you know that blood gushing sensation will mostly be lost post implantation ?
Are you able to bend it now ?
Did dr.levine teach you how to bend it ?
Are your urinary sysmptoms cleared by now ?
What did you expect from the implant and have not found ?
What does Dr.levine suggest for now?

When I was considering getting an implant my surgeon gave me a list of his patients to talk with. I was impressed that he included someone who wished he had not gotten an implant as soon as he did. He was happy with how it worked but he didn’t feel erotic about his penis anymore. He wished he had waited longer. I had never heard ANYONE say that. Guys almost universally say they wished they had done it sooner.

I’m glad I had that discussion with him. It did make me pause and consider my situation. I still decided that implant was the right decision for me. Although I was still able to get (shitty) erections with a lot of (medication) assistance I just couldn’t get rigid enough to do what I wanted to do (fuck). I was implanted in March of this year and couldn’t be happier. It was the right decision and I love my new and improved cock. It’s me, but better. I feel like I did it at the right time. I don’t wish I had done it sooner. I was thoughtful and deliberate about it. I did my research, talked with lots of guys, had three in person show and tell demonstrations, picked a great doc, and followed his instructions to the letter.

Sorry you don’t like yours. But you were implanted less than 2 months ago. You are still healing. Still getting acclimated to the new you. It seems a little early for the histrionic, over the top (“genital suicide”??? Really???) declarations.

And you choose a malleable penile prosthesis instead of an inflatable penile prosthesis . My IPP seems like my cock only it can get hard now. And when it’s deflated it’s soft and flexible enough that it seems natural. Consider that part of what you are experiencing is what a malleable is like compared to an inflatable.

If your feelings really are as strong as what you write I hope you can talk with a professional about it to sort your feelings out and figure out a way to acceptance, or to getting a revision for an IPP.

I wish you the best and hope you are in a different place about all of this, feeling better about it, in a few months.

Having had 2 different MPP Rigicon brand in 2 yrs and never having an IPP to compare it to I can also say I wish I would have done it sooner. I don't know what your main issue is mark1974 but I can say I hardly notice my implant anymore. What is the big issue with yours that makes you so unhappy?
Rigicon since 6-2023 happy to share my experience and do show and tell

Mark1974, just out of curiosity, are you really an immature and histrionic attention troll or do you just have a thick head? Again and again people on this forum state authoritatively and unequivocally that it takes almost a year for complete healing and settling of the implant. Yet again here you are bitching and whining like a little girl. Genitalia suicide, really? Grow up, cease and desist with the melodrama, exercise some manliness and patience. Your whining is unbecoming at this stage of the game. If shit is so damn horrible for you maybe you should make an appointment and have your psychotropics adjusted. Or maybe get ahold of your surgeon to hash things out. But for sure your over the top bitching and naysaying helps no one on this forum, yourself included.
