Titan implant doesn’t support my girth.

Postby FMLFML85 » Sat Jun 21, 2025 10:20 pm

Getting to the point I’ve had the titan implant for 8 years now. I’ve had 2 revisions from erosion at the tips (my glans). 8 years ago I had a lot of hope from this website that I’d keep my size when implanted. I got implanted and immediately lost 1” of girth. I tried to keep calm and see if I would regain any of it but it hasn’t happened. All that’s happened is I have gotten 2 different revisions because the implant is tearing into the head of my penis. The erosion maybe because of all my effort to regain my size.

I don’t really know where to go from here. My last revision caused some swelling that actually made masturbating feel good. It hasn’t felt good in years. Now the swellings gone down and I’m back to an erection that’s too small for my skin. That weighs a fraction of what it used to weigh. It doesn’t remind me of my dick or anything I’d want to share with another human sexually.

FMLFML85, I am very sorry to hear of those challenges, especially since Titans are known for larger girth sizes. You said you lost an inch -- what size did you start with ? Also what activity do you associate with erosion at the glans ? I don't know much about treatment of erosion at the glans, but saw some interesting options from this search:
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+repair+erosion+at+the+glans+from+ipp&sca_esv=cb1934bd945b0a8e&ei=ojJYaNvoDofL0PEP-M-_iAE&ved=0ahUKEwjbwfDUvIWOAxWHJTQIHfjnDxEQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=how+to+repair+erosion+at+the+glans+from+ipp&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiK2hvdyB0byByZXBhaXIgZXJvc2lvbiBhdCB0aGUgZ2xhbnMgZnJvbSBpcHAyBRAhGKABMgUQIRigATIFECEYoAEyBRAhGKABMgUQIRigAUjqF1CvCViTFXABeAGQAQCYAYIBoAGpB6oBAzUuNLgBA8gBAPgBAZgCCqAC_gfCAgoQABiwAxjWBBhHwgIFECEYqwLCAgUQIRifBZgDAIgGAZAGCJIHAzIuOKAH9TOyBwMxLji4B_cHwgcHMC4yLjUuM8gHOw&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

Best wishes for an effective diagnosis and care plan.

close to 6.5" girth now at 5.5" girth. I still get nocturnal erections, they are too weak to penetrate but they have alot more girth than when I inflate for sex.
The erosion may have happened from inflating from the max to often.
I may have retained 60% of my size from this surgery.

I think what happened to you is exactly what Dr Eid says will happen: the natural tissue in the shaft and glans will slowly atrophy away after the implant is placed, according to him. Same thing happened to me, it is not nearly as meaty and heavy as it was in the early days of the implant.

Do you ever think about explanting?
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

I've considered that I'll probably want to do this when I'm older. I've heard 0 reports of guys explanting long term though so really don't know what to expect there

(Sorry just realized you were probably talking to FMLFML85)

That's the problem. I'm not sure what to expect.

If it's comfortable impotence that is one thing, but if it is constant discomfort that is another

I seem to recall you had filler placed. Was that permanent or dissolvable? Maybe you could go for additional treatments or consider the Himplant?

The only implant that has bigger girth than the titan, is the Rigicon X.
Implanted October 11, 2024, Dr Karaman. Infla10 AX 20cm +1cm RTE.

Us bigger guys tend to lose some girth. I went from 6.5” to 5.5” and have since regained a bit and am now 6.0”.

But I was warned by my surgeon (Dr Eid) that I would lose girth. I was told I would end up 6.1”. Since I was told what to expect ahead of time I don’t share the same sense of disappointment. I chose the largest implant available to me on the market. I had a great surgeon. There is nothing else I could have done to have a larger girth so far.

It’s frustrating that Coloplast and AMS don’t make numerous widths. Even the Coloplast Titan XL is the same width. Just longer (24, 26, & 28cm).

You have a couple options to regain some girth. Injectable fillers, the penuma implant, or a revision with a Rigicon X.

The literature says the Titan’s maximum width is 17.8mm while the Rigicon X’s is 23mm. But the Rigicon is not yet available in the US. So if you are based here in the US you’d need to travel and likely pay out of pocket.
56yo, NYC. ED started at 40. Pills, then shots for 10 years. 24cm Coloplast Titan XL w/classic pump by Dr Eid 3/25/2025. Will meet for show & tell.
