Hi folks,
I am now 13 weeks post op and still experiencing significant pain / discomfort, most of which is when I am deflated and either walking or sitting. Based on my sensations and research I think it is down to poor positioning of of either R cylinder / tubing or reservoir.
Would be grateful for input from folks here.
Here is a more detailed description of my symptoms:
- I feel pain and heaviness when getting up from sitting - doesn’t feel like pain from the pump but instead as though the tubing is being compressed or is too tight.
- On right side of penile shaft when deflated, I feel puffiness, air pockets, and painful to the touch and hard kinked tubing protruding at base of right side shaft - in contrast, no pain or hard kinks are present on left side (whether erect or deflated).
- Sharp pain on R side when touching that side and when walking.
- The whole penis becomes swollen after sitting - possibly due to auto-inflation. I often have to deflate it afterwards.
- Penis now hangs to the right (it used to be centred) and feels painful and tight when pulled to the left or up towards the belly button (cannot actually pull it up towards the belly button beyond a 45-degree angle as the right side is too tight.
- Persistent 24/7 ache which varies in intensity in the reservoir area no matter what position I am in (standing, walking, sorting lying down) - this has been consistent since the op.
Thanks

Re: Problem with placement of cylinder / tubing / reservoir?
lifetimetmser, I am very sorry to hear of your challenges. I'm not familiar with symptoms like that at 3+ months post-op. It sounds like your Dr knows about these issues, but is not investigating ? If that's true, I believe you should be evaluated by another urologist/implanter, preferably practicing in a different health system.

It would be helpful if you posted some details of the implant, as those symptoms don't seem usual.
RALP with 75% nerve sparing 10/24.
Some tumescence from 5 weeks post op. Erection improved with pills, stalling @ 60%
Frisky with young wife again. Implanted Rigicon 10X 20 cm + 1 cm RTE mid April 25.

It’s a Coloplast Titan One Touch and it was a penoscrotal surgery.
Have just updated title to mention these details. Thanks.

Hello lifetime, my first was a Titan and I had tubing bulge lower left side of penis shaft, only bothered me after having sex, it also bothered my wife as it would rub her as well. I also had issues with auto inflation after sitting and when I rode bicycle, the bicycle really inflated it. Either way it never hurt like the pain you describe. I hope you figure it out and get it fixed, I agree with others, seek another urologist. Good luck

Are there any others here who might be able to share their own insights and experience?
Feeling quite alone and uncertain at the moment.
Thank you.
