Im a young man (28) and require a penile implant, i am extremely worried about losing size as erect is around 6.5 inches.

I was just wondering if everyone has lost size after their implant amd how nuch size you have lost and if the implant has helped them.

If you read through the forums, you'll find most with implants have an initial size loss, but with diligent cycling of the implant to stretch the tissues out, they regain size back to their pre-op size over 3-12 months.

I'm also in Australia and I assume you are considering an inflatable implant (IPP). I didn't have Dr Love but I know he has a good reputation and is possibly the highest volume implant surgeon here. Immediately after surgery I lost size and everything looked like a horror movie, massive swelling, bruising etc, plus a fair bit of discomfort, all of which is normal. I remained undersized for the first six weeks until I was able to start cycling the implant. Then after a fairly short time I noticed that I was getting bigger and everything started looking really good. I also used a VED daily before surgery which helped enable the largest cylinders to be implanted. Now after 15 weeks and a lot of cycling I'm very close to being back to my original size. The implant has definitely been 100% worth it. I can get an erection on demand within 20-30 seconds, hard enough for vaginal sex. I can get it to 100% inflated within 60 second or so, which is absolutely rock hard; much harder than you probably want or need. Sex is great again! If you are suffering from ED, and other treatments are not working for you, then I highly recommend an implant. I'm not a doctor, but in my opinion If you use a VED and do the post op cycling, there is a very good chance that you can regain your current size eventually. If you have an appointment with Dr Love make sure you tell him about your concerns.

I'm approaching 5 months post op and a couple weeks ago I measured almost a 1/4" longer (6.5") than my pre-op and flaccid stretch length (6 1/4"). Seems my aggressive cycling helped me grow from 6" post op to now 6.5". And, my girth is very close to my pre op girth of 5 3/4". I'm happy

Over 2 years in Coloplast Titan. Upon losing my prostrate I was 2 inches max non functional for 3 years. Today I am 6L 6 G.

That’s amazing, man! So, you were down to 2 inches for 3 years before implant?

Why does prostate surgery cause shrinkage like that?

I really wouldn't worry. Guys usually only lose size because of protracted ED without stretching or using a VED.
If you're 6.5" now, you'll be 6.5" after the implant when everything settles down.

What I've found is that girth is usually not the same unless Cialis (tadalafil) is used.

Dr Love did mine 9 weeks ago. He's good.
