I have reached the one-year mark since my surgery, and all is well. I cycled at least twice each day for the past year. Although I did gain about an inch in length and maybe a half-inch in girth since the month or so after the surgery, I am still about nearly a half-inch shorter than pre-op measurement. My doc did warn me that I may lose about a quarter-inch. All in all, I am not disappointed with my bionic dick -- not at all.
QUESTION: Should I continue to cycle? Once a day is not an issue; in fact, I rather enjoy having it pumped up even if not using it! Or is that just adding wear-and-tear on the device?
One more thing on measuring: I know enough to measure from the top of the shaft and press the bone. That was not an issue pre-op.
From the side, it was well over 7 inches...but that's not a true measurement for comparison, is it? I haven't tried measuring from the side; so I'll have to give that a go to see if it is the same.
However, post-op is a problem, since the reservoir and tubing are right there in the fat pad. Is that why I am a half-inch shorter, and I am really closer to my pre-op length?
Do I continue cycling past one-year mark?

Do I continue cycling past one-year mark?
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

Happycamper, I still cycle my implant once a day in the shower, when I'm not using it

happycamper59, congrats on the 1 year anniversary ! FWIW, I also have something where the base meets the fat pad, and believe its tubing. I measure just to the left of that. It doesn't measure as long as at the side, and think its a good comparison with my pre-op measurement.

I'm sure that's the tubing from the reservoir. Looking over some images that seems to be common: placing the tubing in front of the pubic bone. Not being an expert in anatomy, I guess that is where it has to be placed in order to reach the penis and implants.
So I measured this evening. Bone-pressed just to the side of the center and tubes, it is 6 1/4. From the side, it is slightly more than 7.
I guess I will continue to cycle at least once per day, using it or not. I will be happy if this is the final product, but I guess we'll see!

Re: Do I continue cycling past one-year mark?
I am new to all this. Second week post op. I never did get the obsession with weight and length for babies. I am a single dad of three boys and people would always ask about their wight and length when they were born. I never thought that information to be crucial. I feel the same way about the dick length pre-op and post-op. I am just happy that I will soon have a working dick that rises to the ocassion fairly soon. Is a half inch plus or minus really that important? I mean as long as it rises and does the job...

happycamper59, the difference in your measurements sounds about right. I've heard others say they continue cycling once a day, or every other day, after a year. I'm seeing my Dr next week and will ask what he advises. Also, your approach of enjoying the functionality and not obsessing about size sounds healthy.

Yeah, was never on the huge end of the scale to start with. The old adage is not the size of the boat, but how you use it" is my motto.

I'm only about 9 weeks into cycling but having similar thoughts. Funny where your mind takes you while just lolling around watching your pumped up dick for up to an hour

Many of us continue to cycle especially when we are partnerless.
It’s healthy and can lead to some masterbation fun, I also use a ved a few times a month. Enjoy it? Do it.
