Re: Numbness after surgery
Osprey_1, thanks for your efforts to gather more perspective on this. I believe a lot of guys are affected to varying degrees. And that's part of the challenge with the poll. I was unhappy with my level of sensitivity following the surgery, but at 4+ months some of that has returned and has helped make PIV sex great again ! I have regained some sensitivity, feeling better about it, sex has improved compared to earlier, and I'm hopeful for more in the future. How do you want me to represent that on the poll ?

Re: Numbness after surgery
Kodixx - thanks for your question. The poll is binary. Either feeling returned or it didn’t. It’s a flaw in the poll’s design. In your case, it did partially return. How about this? Make a judgement about whether you are satisfied with the feeling that you have now. If so, mark the poll with the point at which you were satisfied. If you are unsatisfied or cannot have an orgasm but are still within the 18 month window, I guess you should not enter an answer. If after 18 months and are unsatisfied, mark never. Maybe later I will create a poll with a better design. Thanks.

Kodixx - I changed my mind. I’m making it too complex. Let’s do this. Mark down when you first noted feeling began to return. This will keep it simple. So, in your case, mark down 3-6 months. Thanks.

Re: Numbness after surgery
I feel a mixture of numb and pain. Nothing erotic. I miss the freedom and painlessness (physical) of my old impotent penis. So regret this...and I'm having trouble peeing.
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

Re: Numbness after surgery
Mark - you just began your healing journey a few weeks ago. Many of us went into this with expectations that after several weeks, all would be well. The reality is that for most of us, healing may be a 6-12 month process. I feel that the implant vendors and the doctors who do this type of surgery are largely to blame for the mismatch between expectations and reality. If men really knew that it could be a full year before they regained their sexual health, many would not proceed. Nevertheless, you are committed now. So, give it time. I’m trying to. It’s difficult to say the least.

Re: Numbness after surgery
It seems that infrapubic approach has a great risk for significant numbness than peniscrotal. Cutting closer to nerve bundles near the base of the penis.
A vertical incision low on the scrotum seems to be the farthest from those nerve bundles.

According to you signature you're only a couple of weeks since your surgery. Many men have pain and reduced sensation for a few months.
