Please share your Vacuum Device experience both pre and post surgery.
I've read the studies stating a .31" length advantage at 4 weeks for control groups, but what was your experience? Any tips??
1) How much time did you put into it? I've heard 15 minutes, twice per day, for 1 month prior to surgery. What was your schedule? Post opp times?
2) Negative effects? Short term or long term bruising or damage from use or over-use?
Did you see blood vessels on the surface after VED use?
3) Results? How long before you started seeing results? How dramatic were your results for both length and girth? I've read a study stating a .31" length advantage at 4 weeks. Girth?
Your VED experience for pre and post op sizing.

Pre Op - For about 18 months I used a Vacurect medical grade VED generally once a day. For most of that time it was for both sex, and rehab to regain size loss and prevent further loss due to ED following radical prostatectomy. But I became much more aggressive with it during the 6 weeks or so before my implant surgery. I was using it twice a day for between 20 and 30 minutes.
Post Op - Zero. My surgeon doesn't think it's a good idea and could potentially damage the implant.
I'm aware that there are contrary views by high profile urologists.

Yes. Over pumping sometime caused bruising, which would usually disappear within a day or so. I showed it to my urologist once and he told me not to worry about it. Blood vessels were a little more prominent while erect but only consistent with length and girth increase due to pumping. Also I often got a lopsided "donut" under the glans from pumping too fast or too high a pressure. My objective at that stage was to regain enough length to enable the longest cylinders to be implanted. So I was very keen to regain as much size as possible before surgery and I probably overdid it quite often. There is no apparent long term damage, and 7 weeks post implant my dick looks really good flaccid. I'm now a "shower" being much longer than ever before, so I'm assuming the VED use may have been partly responsible. Girth is similar to what I had pre RRP at ~5 inches. Erect I still have a way to go to regain previous size and for PIV sex etc.

Pre Op - It is difficult to be accurate because I had profound ED with absolute zero erectile function. I can only relate what I could achieve with a 24/7 limp dick using the VED. Fully pumped I was eventually able to get 7.4 inches bone pressed inside the VED. I think girth was between 6 and 7 inches. I know it was often difficult to pull out of the VED chamber, which is about 1.8 inches diameter at the entry point. My pre prostatectomy natural erection was only around 6 inches and about 5 inches girth. Once the device was removed the constriction ring would keep me hard to some extent. But immediately the vacuum chamber was removed I was back to around 6 inches length. Once I removed the ring I was completely flaccid again, with some residual length and girth that would disappear over the next few hours.
Post Op - Zero, for reasons already stated.
70 y.o. married from Sydney Oz. PC and nerve sparing RRP 2022, but still profound ED since. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, VED. Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Now dealing with recovery.

My Dr also expressed concern about using a VED post-op. He's very focused on correct sizing. He speculated that a VED might stretch the penis more than the implant could stretch (length), which might result in a less than optimal match between the new length of the penis and the implanted cylinders.

None of us are a controlled study here so our guesses are the best we can do.
My guess is that guys with no erectile function (example post prostatectomy with nerve damage) could benefit more from VED than guys with erectile function.
I got shitty erections but did get them. Got morning wood. Just before climax I would briefly (30 seconds or so) be really rigid. So I was getting a stretch naturally with some regularity.
I think I gained about .5cm from using VED regularly (based on in-VED measurement difference from when I started using a VED to months later.
After 2 additional months of consistent use of a traction device (Phallosan Forte) my VED measurement was another .5cm longer.
So, a 1cm gain in total with months of consistent use of VED AND traction.
What a hassle.
But I wanted to have ZERO regrets later. I wanted to make sure I did EVERYTHING I could.
It’s entirely possible I would have ended up with exactly the same sized implant regardless. But I know I did what I could and am happy with the result.
