Surgeon for Revision Post-Infection/Salvage

Postby Courage » Fri Apr 18, 2025 10:13 am

I'm beginning to do consults for a revision with an inflatable post infection and salvage with a malleable. I'm in the Delaware Valley (Philadelphia area). I'd prefer to stay relatively local--2-3 hours by car--but am willing to travel for the right surgeon.

My most important things are that the guy knows his shit cold (fellowship & high volume) and takes infection dead serious. Secondary is they aren't married to either manufacturer.

I have an appointment with Clavell coming up--I started with him because I've got family in Texas and everyone here who's used him says he's awesome.

TIA.
Middle-aged SGM with lifelong ED. IPP Implanted January 2025. IPP explanted due to infection February 2025 and replaced with salvage malleable. Looking to get revision.to IPP.

Hi Coursge,

I’m in your same exact shoes: IPP on 10:28/24, infection, salvage malleable on 12/6/24. I’m sorry this happened to you and my heart goes out to you cause I know what it’s like.

I have not made the decision to go back to an IPP as the malleable is working though I did lose length and girth. I have a soft glans issue and believe the IPP might help with addressing since tips would be deeper into the glans. However, the malleable is working for me so I may stick with it.

When I spoke with Dr. Haaky he suggested the infrapubic approach to not cut my balls a third time. So if I do it I will most likely have Dr. Perito do it, though I stress I have not made a decision.

PM me or I will PM you and let’s talk and support each other, God bless!
51 and in pretty good shape….for an old guy lol.
Titan IPP 22cm installed 28 October 2024. Infected. Successful Salvage Revision 6 December 2024 to a Rigicon 20cm. Lost size and girth. Malleable is functional but considering revision to an IPP.

Is there a reason you wouldn't have Hakky do the surgery infrapubically (word?)? I know Perito is the face of that method but Hakky doesn't seem like chopped liver.

Will drop a DM.

Philly is close enough to NYC that you should have a consultation meeting with Dr Eid.

His infection rate is exceptionally low and he has probably done more implants than anyone on the planet.

I just had my implant done by him less than a month ago and had a great experience.
56yo, NYC. ED started at 40. Pills, then shots for 10 years. 24cm Coloplast Titan w/classic pump by Dr Eid 3/25/2025. Will meet for show & tell.
