Many guys here have a lot of experience regarding insurance companies and how to deal with them. Please dont give up. Just take a breather and rethink your strategy so you can get your life back

One potential option is to finance a semi-rigid device with a company like Care Credit. They cost less and have far less potential for revision surgeries

When you have a better insurance situation you could switch to an IPP
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

CareCredit financing offers 0% APR for the 1st year. You are only required to make the minimum monthly payment, which is less than $500. After 12 months, the sleazeballs will increase the APR to 29.99%, so keep that in mind. I recommend switching to another institution, such as a bank or a credit union, around the 11 month mark. Use this link to check if your physician offers CareCredit financing.

Yes, the untold story is Care Credit has some strategies to maximise profits. NOTHING is free if they can help it. The payment schedule they set you up with will not pay off your bill before the grace period is over. Then they back bill all the grace interest that you didn't pay.

In all fairness. I did call them & they were fairly honest about the tricks. Even after knowing that. My wife required 28 dental crowns due to having her jaw moved. The crowns were done in groups of 6. So I had to juggle a couple of accounts at the same time. I think the dental work took about one year. I paid off each segment of 6 crowns at 5 months. Looking at my canceled checks. They bounce my payment thru at leat 3 banks before it hit them. Logic there is if you pay close to the end of the grace period? Your payment will be LATE so you lose the grace period. This was maybe 15-20 years ago.

Giving up is not in human nature not built into us ..keep looking at angles this whole journey is not a race it is a journey that is taken slowly with many twists and turns both in drs .. insurance companies .. personal life .. foolish to give up you have invested so much time and energy into it ..
