Guys with fibrosis - how was your implant experience

Postby Ev6995 » Mon Aug 26, 2024 4:15 pm

Hello,

I have a significant amount of fibrosis from a few incidents of priapism and subsequently have ed. I may be looking at an implant in the future. From what I read online, it sounds like for those with fibrosis, the implant procedure is significantly more difficult and may result in penile shortening.
To those with fibrosis, how did your implant go? Did you lose and length? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

Editing to come back to say I think if you start using a VED soon you're on the right path to heal fibrosis. But wanted to let anyone say if there's more to it?

It depends on the condition and surgeon.

I lost some length due to fibrosis…damn injections coupled with PD.

Dr Taz was able to “scape” out the fibrosis during surgery. Plus the curvature is gone.

Best to talk with whom ever is gonna cut you, get the facts as they see it.

Proximal or distal fibrosis? A friend of mine developed significant proximal fibrosis, likely due to years of using a VED with a tight constriction ring, as suspected by his surgeon. As a result, he experienced a considerable loss of length on the proximal side. He also had fibrosis beneath the glans, which limited his surgeon’s ability to fully extend the implant into the mid-glans, leaving him with a slightly floppy glans. He sure loves his implant.

Most of my fibrosis is near the glans. I’m glad his implant is working out. Thanks!

The fibrosis under the glans actually works in his favor, providing a protective layer that reduces the chances of extrusion or pain from the implant tips!
