Dog ears and RTEs (how to avoid)

Postby Pamen116 » Sun Jan 22, 2023 6:22 pm

I think from being implanted 3x now with different RTEs, dog ears seem to be more prevalent with less RTEs depending on how deep your crus is.

Next revision I’m going to try to get 3+ RTEs instead of my length being allotted in the implant.

For example, I’d rather be revised with a 20cm x 4RTE than a 22cm x 2RTE implant.

I do not think it is a choice you make. The tubes should be connected to the cylinders at a certain point depending on your anatomy. Your surgeon will decide when he opens you up.

Being that I’ve been implanted 3x with different size RTEs each time, I’m sure I can request this.
