What is it that makes an implant irreversible? Could future regenerative treatments work to reverse it?

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

If a future treatment becomes available for Peyronie's, do you think it would also be able to undo the damage done by an implant?

It seems to me that it would as they are both caused by scar tissue.

I know that no one can say for sure but I'm looking for your thoughts.

There would be no way to reverse an implant.
All the tissue that causes an erection is removed and replaced by the cylinders.

Is that true? I've watched a number of implant surgeries on Youtube, and I have yet to see any removal of tissue.

I'll admit though, there have been long periods where I've had my eyes closed.

If penile transplants become available, you think implantees couldn't get one?

Had surgery with me today and he affirmed to me that nothing at all is removed. That’s why guys can still get partials implanted.

That being said, the slicing open of the carporous cavernosum renders it fairly usesless as it comes to producing a true rigid erectile again.

Some surgeons do the “tissue sparing” in their procedure where they push the cavernosa aside to fit the cylinders. But on a revision these are cut to get the implant out.
