Pump Issue

Postby SteveSW » Mon Oct 03, 2022 1:43 pm

I have the AMS CX and have been incredibly happy with it. However, in the last few uses, inflation is normal, but when deflating the pump has started doing something new and I'm a little concerned it's an indicator of bigger problems looming. At first, the release valve does what it's supposed to, and when I squeeze my dick to push the fluid out, the valve seems to reset itself and I have to push the button again a time or two, and then it works normally, and I can completely deflate. Any of you guys had similar experiences? If it keeps happening, I guess it's off to the surgeon, but wanted to see if the FT brain trust had any guidance. Thanks guys.

I'll try to watch your posts. It sounds like you'd be a perfect candidate for just a pump replacement eventually. I'm not sure if I can recall many true just pump replacement revisions. It would be interesting to hear how one went.

Sorry to hear that, SteveW.
Yes. Unfortunately, seems that there is something wrong with the valve. Upon pressing the valve, and before squeezing, it should empty most of the fluid.

I have the 18 CM also. LGX. From the very beginning I would have this issue. I would push the release and it would partially to mostly deflate. Then I would have to press and hold the release button while squeezing out the rest. Really didn't concern me much cause everything worked fine. I have noticed in the last week or 2 I could occasionally squeeze it all the way out without holding the button. But when I hold it I can feel the cylinders empty so I know when it's completely deflated. If everything works fine I wouldn't worry about it, except maybe mention it to your urologist.
AMS 700 LGX on July 12, 2022. ED no diagnosed reason since teens with occasional success in 20s. Tried pills and injections.

Thanks for that. If this deflate thing doesn't get worse, I can easily live with it. Just concerned that this is the beginning of a failure. I am going to reach out to the AMS rep tomorrow though.

Would you post back their response? You got me curious.
