Penis shaft color change after healing?

I am 6 1/2 months post-op and doing great. I am a fair-skinned Caucasian, and I have noticed that my penis has really darkened. The base, for about 1 inch near my body, is my regular skin tone, then there is a distinct border where the rest of the shaft is dark like a good tan. it does not bother me, and in fact, I think it looks good. Wondering if any of you have noticed the same.

There is a female urologist that posts on YouTube. She has a video about why male/female genitals darken. The channel is her name. I think her name is Rena Malik. Interesting video. You might find some of her other videos insightful.
