Inflating & Deflating
As a newb who's never put in pump in yet, I've tried a couple times and have no idea how I'm going to be able to pump and deflate. Cannot feel how to deflate and that pump is hard as hell and feels like I'll burst a vein before I get a pump in! Ouch. Definitely not nearly as easy as I expected. They make it look so easy in videos. There's also zero videos of the genesis pump deflating. Two bars to hold?? This thing is slippery. Very hard to access.... I know it will get better with practice but I have a feeling daily cycling is going to suck.

Re: Inflating & Deflating
First, has your doctor given you the okay to inflate and deflate? As tempting as it was to try after 19+ years of ED, I waited until my doctor cleared me for cycling, which was eight weeks after surgery. This was too important for me to fuck up by being impatient.
Yes, the pump is hard to squeeze at first. What worked for me was holding the pump steady with one hand while I pumped with the other. Even now that the pump has softened considerably and I can pump with one hand, I prefer to use both. It's still quicker.
Deflating was easier for me from the beginning once I determined which hand I could best depress the valve with. The angle of the release valve makes it easier for me to press it with my left hand while I squeeze the fluid out of my dick with my right hand.

Re: Inflating & Deflating
I'm 45 days post-op and found it difficult to inflate. Dr Perrito has a video which I can't find now showing you how to inflate using two thumbs. On top of each other. That for me was the magic trick terms of making it easy to inflate no matter how hard the bulb is. Keep your index finger under the pump and your two thumbs on top of it and you'll find it doesn't slide and it's easy to squeeze.
ED survivor 5 years. Tried pills, Gainswave, PRP, Bi-Mix/Tri Mix (worked 50% but very painful for 24 hours after injection.) 55 Gay - Single Titan Coloplast implanted June 1st, 2022, scrotal in Miami by Dr Billy Cordone..,very happy. Zero regrets

I posted this in another thread. Maybe will help you.Hi. I was implanted June 20. I got coloplast titan and thought I got one touch pump release. At my 3 week follow up the doctor told me he used the 2 bar genesis pump and he doesn't think the OTR pump works well and is a problem. I was uncomfortable and wanted to release some of the fluid before my appointment but couldn't get the cylinders to relax. I kept feeling the valve but couldn't get it to deflate. Once I knew that I had the 2 bar deflate valve the problem was solved. Put index finger and thumb at top of bulb. Roll finger tips slightly away from bulb and pinch with constant pressure. You should feel a very slight movement of bar. The valve should allow passage of fluid out of cylinders. If you have old style pump this should give you deflation. Push on or squeeze penis to remove as much fluid as you like. Wish I didnt waste time trying to use a button that wasn't there
ED for number of years. Used pills and Quadmix. Venous leakage too much to overcome. IPP is only solution to my issue.Coloplast Titan 18cm+3cm RTE's on June 20,2022....Revision September 11,2023. Second revision September 9,2024 20+3

I have the same pump. When I was only 2 weeks post op I couldn’t feel the deflation bars either. The swelling will go down and as it does, continue to probe the pump with your fingers to get the feel of where everything is. You will eventually be able to feel all the way above the deflation bars and when it’s time to operate the new hardware you will be ready! And it won’t hurt either! I was concerned that it was going to be painful, but it never has been.

Nope, I go in on August first to learn. Got like 1.5 pumps in last night just cause I haaaad to try it (I know I should've) and not my dick grew about a half inch in both directions and definitely don't know how to deflate so hope it's okay to leave it like this for a week. Won't be touching it again. But I got to feel what happens...hope I didn't screw anything up! :/

Thank you! This explains it pretty well verse any tutorial I could find online. Do you think it matters if I just leave the 1-2 pumps in there for a week until my follow up appointment or should I try to deflate?
Thanks again!

Re: Inflating & Deflating
It won't hurt to leave a few pumps in it. I was left 80% hard for 4 weeks during my healing.

Welcome. Actually is really straight forward one you know what the mechanism is. I dont think couple of pumps would be a problem. I find FULLY deflated is not comfortable so I put shot or two in when I want to be flacid
