Has anyone had or heard of getting an infection from anal sex without a condom due to being in an area with bacteria? After anal sex I noticed my urine had an odor. No sign of uti but I had to start antibiotics for a sinus infection and the odor cleared… strange question I know!
I would hate to get infected 8 weeks after an implant!

Although I prefer "bareback", there is a known risk of UTIs from the practice of unprotected anal sex. Although it isn't guaranteed to stave off infection, one common sense step one can take after being the top for unprotected anal sex is to urinate as soon after sex as possible. Extra hydration (drinking water) may also help as it means you'll go more often during the next few hours afterward. Flushing out anything that got into your urethra as soon as possible is the best way to help mitigate risk AFTER having bareback anal sex, IMO.

Also, if you are uncircumcised, this will also increase your chances of getting an infection.

Good question and helpful responses. I am planning to have anal sex soon so I will make sure to use condoms and follow these practices. My worry is also about the pain.. How was the pain during anal sex as compared to vaginal? The tips are hurting a bit when I try even doggie..

Re: Anal sex/infection
I've had two UTI's since getting my implant. I blame them on the implant LOL since I went from very rarely having successful anal, to getting it multiple times a week. The more times you fuck, the greater the odds of getting a UTI are. Of course, my doctor feels obligated to give me the condom lecture and I keep right on barebacking.

Sorry guys. I was not clear! I’m with my spouse 36 years. Always bareback anal sex. Never a UTI.
What I am concerned about is the chances that anal sex could cause an infection of the penile implant.

How could it? Unless you still have open sutures [in which case you should not be having any type of sex}

Any damage or tearing that leads to bleeding in the penis can cause a hematoma. Infection can start there even without an opening to the surface.

Re: Anal sex/infection
Never a UTI but now you are worried with the implant.
Nope...no difference, unless, as mentioned above, you have some open wound from implant surgery. If you do. NO SEX FOR YOU
!!!
The implant is a closed system. If you do get an infection, it would have shown itself by now, or you have an open wound.
