Locating the deflate button
I’m wondering if it’s a problem to locate the deflate button on the Coloplast when you first get to where you can inflate it. I’m 7 days post surgery and am just getting to where I can feel the top of the inflate bulb. I can feel a little bit of the unit just above that but not enough to know exactly what it is. I go back to the doctor in just under 3 weeks. Is there ever a situation where you can inflate but then can’t get to the deflate button?

Re: Locating the deflate button
I learned to inflate and deflate eight weeks after surgery. I struggled to press down on the release valve with my right hand.
When I switched hands, I had no problem deflating. Perhaps you could try that.

I am 2.5 weeks post surgery. I could find the deflate button with either hand.
I did though figure out though I can deflate easier with my non-dominant hand squeezing the 2 buttons while my dominant hand squeezed my dick.
Switching hands just doesn't work as well.
Try both ways and see which is more comfortable for you.

I don't know how they can do it, but one of my docs deflated me the next morning after surgery.

Re: Locating the deflate button
Yes its bit difficult at the beginning. It will ease up. I had this difficulty for first 2 weeks its a learning curve. Best is to use it in the hot tub( after the doctor approve for cycling). Until then dont touch anything. Hot tub/water will ease up scrotum for easy accessibility. Also the best way to find the deflate button is to top down from the tubes and find the deflate block or from the bottom from bulb right on top of it ( and the button will either be on right or left- most likely right). Hold the block on one side with one hand and try deflating with another. You might have to move it around a bit( as its all messy and healing inside).. It will be painful. Dont worry keep trying you will get there in no time

Finding the deflate button on a Titan is tough. At one week out from surgery my only thought was DON'T TOUCH IT. LOL
It's located on the side of the metal feeling box above the bulb. Took me 6 weeks to even try my pump because I was so sore. Got inflated, couldn't find the deflate button, back to doc to deflate me.

Re: Locating the deflate button
I don't have a Coloplast but I can tell you they're trying to find the deflate button on any pump that soon after surgery is very difficult. I was sent home partially inflated 5 days later I had a major bleed coated my underwear red so I was concerned that may be my implant was pushing through. Stepped in a very hot shower cleaned off and proceeded to try to deflate. Mind you I had penoscrotal and my scrotum was still very swollen. It was no fun at all stood there trembling for 20 minutes but I finally did deflate it at last I found the button and pushed it and I could feel the buzzing. All I can say is good luck you'll need it

Scott61,
Neither Titan nor AMS is hard to locate deflate buttons. They are just differently positioned. Both pumps have block that they are attached to. On Titan block you have to press both shorter sides of this block to activate for inflation or deactivate for deflation. For inflation, make sure that your fingers are not pressing the pump and deflate buttons at the same time. When swelling is gone, it should not be hard to locate buttons and operate the pump.
