Well I'm getting frustrated and I'm starting to regret this. I received the AMS 700 almost 8 weeks ago. The Dr made about a 2 inch incision (or maybe one and one half inches) just above my penis. On the right side, where the reservoir is, I feel like I have a strained or torn muscle in the groin and right lower abdomen area. The right side of my penis is still uncomfortable but not all of the time. My undercarriage area frequently still feels irritated. None of it is significant pain but the discomfort is pretty chronic.
Also, I feel I lost too much girth.
Three questions, Will the tubes in my penis soften up over time so that it feels more natural (and maybe more comfortable)? I can orgasm but there is some numbness. Will that get better over time?
Will pumping get easier over time?
I'm 54 and is reasonably good health.

Sorry to hear this! You need to get with your surgeon immediately and find out what’s going on.At eight weeks your healIng process should have you feeling pretty good.Remember these Doctors work for YOU and you have every right to tell him about your problems and tell him you aren’t happy and want to know what’s going on.If he blows you off,and I’m not saying he will, you go see someone else because what you describe is not where you should be at this point!Good luck!

At 8 weeks my reservoir still gave me a burning sensation when I moved certain ways. It’s in my belly area to the left and under my belly button. Loss of sensation is cause to contact your doctor. Pumping will get easier over time especially if your scrotum is still sore at this point. Did you ice the scrotum after surgery? I’m not sure that it would help at this point but it sure couldn’t hurt. Good luck with your new bionic member.

Re: Continued discomfort at 8 weeks
After my implant I hurt for almost 5 months. Party due to grandson headbutting me straight to the head of my penis at 6 weeks, but my pain was more burning like my skin had been stripped off. The reservoir ache wasn't too bad, but I could tell it was cut in. Try some Aspercream. I used that and it really helped. A small dab smeared where it hurts.

Thanks to everybody so far and I would like to hear some more replys. I have a doctor's appt 7 weeks out but I will look at moving that up some. But I'll also give this at least a few more weeks. I'm thinking I'm not making anything worse. But please correct me if I'm wrong. I think I will start studying more doctors options.

I'm 4 months today, i still get some pain at dogears when flaccid and my scrotum is tenderish where i cycle the pump. I get the odd weird small burning /shooting pain but all this is gradually getting better.

I hope you feel better soon but in perspective, 8 weeks is a short time considering you had a major surgery. It is too soon to worry about this being chronic. For comparison, I had a varicocele repair at 16 years old and it floored me for at least two months if not longer, as a teenager. Some people just heal slower.

Thank you, I'm trying to stay positive but I'm also studying to find a second opinion.
