deflate valve/button

Postby artful todger » Wed Jun 01, 2022 3:25 pm

Has anyone had a problem with auto deflation once they're pumped up? This has happened a couple of times lately with my titan. I think the first time i had my finger near the deflate button as i was pumping up. Once i pushed deflate and pumped back up it was fine and the second time maybe i touched it again but i'm not sure. It's only coming up to 4 months old. There's still a bit of tissue around the delate button it could be something to do with that.

I do not have a Titan but my MS pump has some quirks that I have learned to deal with. The problems may be that the valve is not fully moving from one mode to the other. And you are just learning to deal with it. When inflating you may need to depress the bulb really hard and fast on the first squeeze(s). My MS pump will pop when it switches to inflate mode and every once in a while it will not move all the way and I have to pump forever for it to move fluid into the cylinders. I can deflate and then try a gain and the valve will switch fully. Guess you could call it a sticky pump. These pumps are built really tight to last for a long time so maybe you and I have pumps that are a bit on the to tight side. So maybe our pumps will last a really long time. As long as you can learn what you need to do to make it work all is good.

Good luck.
