I got implanted yesterday and I have some questions for the group after reading the posts. I am in a lot pain but it manageable.
1. How inflated were you when you were sent home and for long? My doctor wants me to be partially inflated for three weeks but my penis feels close to fully erect.
2. Did you have any problems with urination and for long? I have not urinated much and it stings when it does.
3. When did you start cycling? My doctor has said three weeks but I read three days for some people on this group.
4. When you are able to have sex again? I am being told six weeks.

1. I am inflated 60% for six weeks… Yes it does feel like a full erection but it’s not…
2. Yes, difficulty peeing and especially if you were catheterized for any amount of time… If you don’t feel like you are peeing a sufficient amount you need to contact your doctor because that could be dangerous and lead to urinary retention… But it is difficult and pee spraying everywhere and all that for a couple of weeks now…
3.My surgeon does not want me cycling until I see him at six weeks… At that point he will go over the inflation and deflation and cycling instructions…
4.Six weeks is what my surgeon says also… However if you read a lot of post here and what most members say it doesn’t feel that great at six weeks and may be two or three weeks past that…
I hope you have a continued successful recovery and very little pain and no issues!

TP,
Follow your doctor's instructions, period.
#1 Partial inflation + swelling from the surgery = the sensation of fully erect.
#2 Yes, It's temporary. Did you have a catheter?
#3 If the doc says 3 weeks...It's 3 weeks. (It was 4 for me)
#4 If the doc says 6 weeks...It's 6 weeks. (It was 8 weeks for me)
Every surgery is a little unique, as is every man.
PLEASE follow the instructions.

Re: Question about implant
Every doctor is a little different. I purposely chose a doctor that let me start cycling early, did "minimally invasive" surgery, and worked hard to make sure I didn't lose size. Here are my answers:
1. 70 % for a week. The 3 weeks you are waiting is pretty standard, though some are 6-8 weeks. It can be hard to be inflated that long, I'm sure. If you don't wear some underwear or a jock that keeps the shaft pressed against your body, it makes a somewhat embarrassing tent in your pants, but if you do wear something to press on it, the pain goes up dramatically.
2. I had no real trouble with urination other than having to bend my body into unnatural positions to hit the toilet when my dick was always inflated. If you're having pain or not urinating often you really should talk with your doctor.
3. I started cycling on day 8, but again, I had a doctor that did things in a way that supported early cycling. Listen to your doctor.
4. My doc told me I could try sex or jacking at 3 weeks, though 6 weeks is pretty normal. I was still too sore at 3 weeks even though I had "permission". I did solo at 2.5 weeks and it was great to be able to enjoy the implant a little but was actually still a little too sore to enjoy as much as I wanted.
The biggest thing you need right now is patience. It does get better and it really isn't all that long, though it seems that way at first. I hope you get things going the way you want soon and that you like your implant as much as I like mine.

Thanks for the feedback. This is more painful than I ever expected.

What comes to my mind is a trust issue. You trusted this doctor to cut your penis open. But then you either don't trust his post op advice or you're shopping for advice that you like better.
Everything that I've read you post about him sounds like he is advising you well within the bounds of normal.

Re: Question about implant
I had a peyronies bend at midship. My doc had me 80-90% hard for 4 weeks. God I thought I was going to die. It stuck straight out and had a stinging sensation. I tried to push the release at 3 weeks. couldn't do it. Went back at 4 weeks and doc squeezed the release button. so much pain I went through the roof. I feel for you. I know what you are going through.

Re: Question about implant
I agree with the other guys about following your doctor's directions. If you've had ED for years, a few weeks will pass quickly.
I was 60% inflated for two weeks.
Yes, it's painful, but if you follow the directions for care that you got, the pain will most likely subside soon.
I don't remember, but probably did have trouble urinating for a bit. Seems likely since you've had foreign objects shoved in your dick.
My doctor taught me how to inflate and deflate at eight weeks and gave me the okay to have sex then.
