24 Hours

Postby BionicMan2022 » Tue Apr 19, 2022 9:09 am

It's hard to believe but tomorrow is the day. I have been trying to make this happen for so long. I got delayed by that pesky heart bypass last year but from the first time I found out about implants, there was never a moment of doubt this was for me. I've always been a grower not a shower and I always found that humiliating. Also, I've never been able to make love to my new wife of 5 years. She is a real gem who loves sex and we have been inventive but I always felt like I have been letting her down in that one way. I'm too excited to be nervous. If it hurts it's fine. I would walk through fire to be a fully functional man again. Anyway, after open-heart surgery, this should be a breeze. I will continue to post up my progress on this thread so stay tuned!

Good luck, you have to be proud of yourself for making the decision. I'll have an implant once I get an insurance that covers it.
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years

So it's the morning after. I am pleased to report everything went well. My pain is so minimal I'm only taking Tylenol. I woke up in recovery with no catheter, no drain, and no mummy wrap. As soon as I was able to pee they sent me home. I knew Lahey Clinic was an amazingly good hospital after having my coronary bypass there last year. Both my surgeries couldn't have gone smoother. Dr. McCoullogh met with me before and after reassuring me all was well. I am following his orders to a T, excepting thankfully feeling no need for the prescribed Oxycodone. Now just the waiting. Two weeks till I begin cycling the implant, six till its road test.

That's awesome! Glad you're feeling very little pain. Some of us guys think "What the heck did I let them do to me?" for a few days.

Hey BionicMan. Are you still healing well? I was implanted the same day you were and I have trouble just standing or sitting. I have been flat on my back since Wednesday afternoon. I guess the pain is from where they anchored the rear tips. Take care!
