Undergoing surgery without pre-op Vacum therapy

Postby Halfman » Sun Mar 20, 2022 9:34 am

Just a quick question.
I know the importance of Vacuum during pre-op and even post. This topic has been already well debated here. But has anyone undergone surgery WITHOUT using a VED in the months before It? Were your results satisfying in terms of size keeping and look?

There was never any mention of VED use before my surgery in 2008. It may be more common now than it was back then. In any case, my surgery went well and the results were good.
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

Halfman,
7 weeks prior to my surgery in June, 2019, my urologist/surgeon recommended that I use a VED. Twice a day for 15-20 minutes, for the first 6 weeks. He also said to NOT use the VED the week before surgery, to minimize bruising.

As much as I had a VED I hadn't used it for months before my surgery. I was pretty blind going into surgery, my fault for not doing more research. Anyway my implant is fine. Maybe a bit of length loss, but it gets hard!

I've spoken to both Eid and Kramer - both have said no specific benefit of the ved pre surgery.

Thanks guys.
Here Is the fact.
I'm getting implanted on May and Hakki, my surgeon, often outlines the importance of this fucking tube.
I bought It, i've been trying to get it to work, but no way: no matter how long i pump or how i do so, my penis simply don't get erect while in the tube. I don't obtain any erection and given the combo of vascular impaiments i have (both venous and arterial deficiency) i'm not even surprised.
I'm not interested in using this thing in order to fuck, i got It with the only purpose of following Hakki's instructions and keep my penis as healthy as possible before surgery.
However, if VED doesn't work, that's It. There's nothing i can do about and i can assure you i've already tried and done enough.
Now i'm a bit worried about losing size after surgery and that was the reason behind the question.
I'm 28, by the way, and my ED Is the severest you could possibly Imagine.

I used a traction device pre implant for a couple months. Had it from treating Pyronies a while back. Dr said it or a VED could help before.

FYI traction is only used on flaccid dick, and it does increase the flaccid length. I had a real good result.
51 Have had ED for at least 15 years, then PD. Pills stopped working, not going to do the other things. Mayo Clinic Minnesota 24 cm Titan

That's in total contradiction with medical papers and researches, I am very surprised that two top surgeons would state that.
49yo - ED since I was 35 -Oral therapy stopped working- Trimix/Bimix too strong even at the lowest dosage. Now Bionic thanks to Dr. Clavell since March 9 2022. Titan XL 24 cm, no rear tips, trimmed down to 23.5 cm. Reservoir 110ml.

In 2008 Dr Kramer made no mention of VED. His view may have changed since then.

Sorry the VED isn't working. Are you able to get any vacuum in it? Is it sealing around the base of your shaft? I always used some lube on the ring you insert into to get an airtight seal.
Good luck going forward.
