Got an AMS 700 on Feb 22. surgery was at about 3pm and I stayed overnight in the hospital. Everything was uneventful. But I did feel some pain and maybe more like discomfort. As soon as I came to, I could feel that I had "an erection". I did get a foley catheter which was taken out the next morning at 7am. I was ready to go home by noon.
Looking at the dr notes, it appears I got a 21 cm cylinder and 1cm rear extensions.
I dont know what percentage that I am pumped up, but its kind of thin but hard as a rock. I could easily have sex this pumped. I can see it should be able to get bigger because the penile skin is not stretched all the way. I guess this is good news -- the glans is pretty hard too. and everything is straight as an arrow. Dr. said it looked great (of course he would?) but the resident who took my catheter out said so too.
I laid on my back for 7 days straight only getting up briefly now and then to go to the bathroom and a couple times down and back up the stairs to get something from the kitchen (when I didnt want to bother my wife). I was not in pain, but everything was really sore. Sometimes it would ache, and I would take Tylenol or Motrin. I only used one oxycodone the whole time. I like to think I have a high tolerance of pain just from all the other surgeries I have had but maybe I dont.
I alternated with pain/discomfort -- I really call most of what I experienced "discomfort" more than throbbing pain. Something that is sore when you move the least little bit. So back to that thought, sometimes my balls were on fire, especially when I was upright and walked any. other times my dick would throb. Interesting part is that when I needed to pee, I did not get the usual "need to pee" sensation, I got dick pain.
I should add here...being this erect is not fun and I cant imagine having this another 3 weeks -- as my doc plans on leaving me this inflated for 4 weeks. I point about 45 degrees down. I cannot move it much in any direction - so it almost impossible to wear any clothes. I usually have nothing on and put a robe on to walk around the house.
I was really uncomfortable until day 7, late in the day, all of the sudden everything felt alot better. But if I am my feet alot it starts hurting. I am sitting at my computer on a donut and right now my balls are starting to be on fire.
The pump feels huge in there. I have not tried to pull it down yet as that hurts. I did not get any instructions on doing that other than in the discharge paperwork..
That's all I can think of so far. This forum was so helpful in making my decision and in not freaking out over the pain and discomfort. Someone on here on one post said something like: for about 12 days you will think "WHAT HAVE I DONE?" and then it gets way better. So I am being patient for the recovery. Honestly its about as uncomfortable as having the catheter for 10 days after my prostate was removed. On that note, I guess its the swelling of the tubes putting some pressure on, but my continence before surgery was 90-95% and now it is 100% -- dont know if that will last.
another thing, its either swelling or some residual natural erection, but sometimes it is a little bigger than others -- especially when I wake up and the time you would have morning wood. I guess we will see if continues of it is just swelling.
Thanks for listening and any comments you may have

59. ED from prostate removal surgery in 2018. Low doses of Trimix worked fine but usually gave a painful erection. Sildenafil - hit and miss but caused headaches for 8-12 hours. AMS-700CX 21 cm cylinder placed on 2-22-22.
