Hard glans with an implant?

Postby Steve5231 » Wed Feb 02, 2022 3:31 pm

I’m still considering an implant. But is the head of the penis hard when the implant is hard?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

Mine isnt engorged when pumped, but i had a VL before and assume i still have. Can get engorged with ring and going to try Viagra to see if it helps with that. If you don't have an issue now with glans engorgement, i assume you can after implant.

The implant is inside the tunica albuginea and replaces the function of the corpus cavernosum. That is all it does.

The erection process is that your own blood pressure fills the two shafts of the tunica and makes your penis rigid.

The glans (head of the penis) is engorged with blood but instead of corpus cavernosum, it is corpus spongiosum and not constrained by tough fibrous tissue like the tunica/cavernosum. So, it does not get rigid - not as hard as the internal shaft(s) of your penis.

But the spongiosum DOES engorge - swell up. (Incidentally, the shaft of a man's penis also has spongiosum tissue and it gets fuller and firer when engorged).

If your penis' head gets "hard" before the implant, it should get the same degree of hardness after (absent any medical misadventure in surgery).

But the implant does NOTHING to improve the action of the spongiosum tissue that swells the glans (penis' head) or shaft. (nor di diminish it)

I have an implant but 0 engorgement of Glans and shaft because all nerves removed during RP. I use tri mix gel that is inserted into the urethra to engorge glans and shaft. Search tri-mix gel in the search bar above.

Mine does, just like before.
47 year old swinger. Had 36+ hour priapism that landed me in ER twice over 48 hours. Scarring in my penis makes it to where I’m at risk of severe priapism at any time. Erections inconsistent. Implanted by Dr. Eid on December 21st 2021, Coloplast Titan OTR
