Billing Questions IPP ... Dr. Brain Christine, St. Vincents Hospital

Recently had Titan 3-pc. IPP installed by Dr. Brian Christine @ St. Vincents Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. The bills have recently started coming in and for the most part seemed inline until St. Vincents "HOSPITAL ONLY" bill arrived @ 57k discounted to 37k. I have Medishare Health Sharing(Not insurance) ... of course they have denied the bill to which I have appealed. That said, I anticipate having to pay the entire bill out of pocket. From cruising the internet and this sight, I had planned on paying an "all in price" of 20k ... ish. I'm guessing that if I had one of the major Insurance Companies on my side(BCBS, Aetna, Medicare, etc.) they would have a negotiated allowed amount of $16,534.00 for example ... and that would be the final word to St. Vincents Hospital. Does anyone have experience with Dr. Christine, St. Vincents Hospital specific to IPP costs & billing? It would be really helpful to go back to them with some actual costs incurred by others at this facility. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I've heard of patients having luck with going to the billing office & asking for a "cash now" price. I'm led to believe that the discounts can be significant in some cases.
