Hello brothers,
I am considering an implant and wanted to know from the experience from the ones who already went bionic the following:
What do you like about your implant ?
What are the drawbacks?
Thanks a lot for your input

logistics of pumping
needing future revisions
risk of Dr downsizing you or running into complications
initial recovery

As far as there are solutions to complications/revisions, I am good

Okay. I’m in. I’ve got an LGX.
What I love: to me, this is what an erection should have felt like all along but never did. It points upwards at a 45 degree angle or so like I was 18. Not 65. It does shrink a bit when in flaccid mode but at a bit over 5” soft it’s still a good sized softy. It never fails. I can do things I could never do and I never have to worry about not getting enough stimulation to stay hard.
Things I don’t love: I could not care less about a .2” reduction in length but I went from 6” to 5.6” in girth. It still looks great but I notice that. I bruised really bad from surgery but recovery wasn’t bad. When I urinate I have to shake extra or I end up with droplets soaking thru jeans. Since I don’t wear drawers, it shows. It was more of a process than an instant thing. Recovering the size took a year. The pump is just now (2 years) getting softer and easier to operate.
The real bottom line: I would do it again in a minute, and i would have done it ten years sooner.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

So do you think to have lost .2 in lenght and .4 in girth permanently? I have heard good things about the LGX in terms of conserving and improving size, but apparently this is not true for everyone.
Hard flaccid syndrome since 2019. Trying to get better with conservative treatments but an implant is on my radar

Yes, At 2 years, I think those dimensions are gone for good.
That being said, I don’t see much difference in length between 6.8 and 6.6.
I think the change from 6” girth to 5.6” is much more of a mental thing than anything to do with function. At 6.6x5.6, hard as steel, this works great, looks great, and I consider it a success.
Less than a quarter inch in length? That doesn’t even rise to the level of annoying. I’m convinced it was something anatomy related and I wasnt undersized. The girth thing I attribute to AMS instead of Coloplast products. The AMS cylinders are limited in their ability to expand in girth whereas the Coloplast Titan has the capacity to expand in girth.
If I had lost an inch or so, I might be complaining. In some respects my post surgery penis looks better than before, and I can assure you it works incredibly well.
That extra girth didn’t mean much when it was part of a semi erection which might or might not be hard enough to penetrate. The post implant one which could be used to hammer nails with is always able to do so.
Maybe I’m naive or a pushover. My surgeon said “I will put as much implant in you as you will safely accommodate.” I’m within a quarter inch of my original length, I would say he was successful.

Not a lot of mention, but there is extreme pain cycling. I’m coming cycling as I type this and I’m in agony. 30-45 minutes max out is a lot of pain for me. I’m 17 days in and that could be the issue. I’m also determined to get the 3/4” length and about 1/8 in girth that I had immediately before surgery.
42 ED for 9 years vl after a fall. Pre implant 8 1/4 bp x 6 1/8 ish
Clavell titan 26+1 rte…post op very excited: 8 5/8” x 6 1/2” mid and way over 7” base. (We’re up to 6.5” girth!!!!)
Starting to lose some length

First of all, almost 14 months out from surgery, I love my implant.
Being able to have sex any time I want with no planning necessary is awesome.
The improvements in my view of myself and my marriage are also huge pluses. I like the way my implant feels when deflated. I think it's a plus that I now have a noticeable bulge in my pants.
Compared to my state of ED before my implant, there really are no important minuses. This is a tremendous improvement over the combination of Levitra, a cock ring, perfect timing, and only certain positions that I depended on to sometimes have a hard on good enough for, at best, mediocre sex.

Was this the right time for you, or should you have done it 20 years earlier (when your ED started as istated in your signature).

Re: Implants: Love it/ hate it
If I had known 20 years ago that my ED was definitely a physical problem, I would have tried to get an implant.
It was years after the onset of my ED that a physical cause was determined. And then years after that until I learned about implants.
I think getting an implant early on in my ED time would have headed off a lot of trouble I'm recovering from now.
