If I have soft glans pre-op will I have soft glans even after?

Postby Thisworld » Thu Dec 09, 2021 8:09 pm

Since a good amounts of times I have soft glans now, will I have it fully tiny even after the operation or since the cylinders go well into the glans at least it will become wider as the rest of the shaft?
I'm not speaking about real engorgement, but at least same width of the shaft?

The anatomy of the glans varies quite a bit. Often this is presumed to contribute to an element of floppiness as the implant doesn't extend very deep (not completely filling the available anatomical space) into the glans. This is not the only reason.... sometimes the surgeon doesn't get the placement far enough into the glans even though there can be the anatomical space to do so. There are men on here that have had a revision by another MD because of that very reason. Sometimes there just isn't that much anatomical space to get as deep into the glans as might be desired.

You explained it very well, thank you. So giving for granted that someone have enough anatomical space ans that he choose a good surgeon his glans should be fine even if he had soft glans before ?

Side question - do you have soft glans when using injections (if you use them) ?
In my experience, with injections, the glans is usually softer than the shaft, doesn't get engorged at the same speed. However, after a while the blood goes up to the glans too and combined with a cockring, it usually (but not always) gets to the "normal" erect state. The curious part is that it doesn't always work that way. But nothing about injections is "stable", my results have always varied greatly so maybe that's normal on it's own.
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

The general opinion is that your glans will stay exactly the same as before the surgery. Unfortunately the implant cylinders are not meant to shape, support or expand in any way the glans. However there is evidence supported by many members of this forum that by using a vacuum pump and/or cock rings you can easily engorge your shaft and your glans and it has been shown that it works very well with an implant too.

some doctors like dr eid can inject HA filler into the glans to make them fuller and firmer.

Unfortunately the most common fillers and potentially safest, as they are reversible, don't last more than 1 year or two. The less common and most risky, as they are not reversible, are PMMA and they are permanent but I understand that they are not FDA cleared. So be prepared to inject your own fat or fillers every year or so....at a couple of thousand dollars per ml...and you may need quite a few ml.

I have had the same experience, and the same variety with injections.
