PM , how is it used?
Private message pisses me off. I compose a long PM answering someone and the friggin thing disappears when I punch submit. WTF. Will be waiting for an answer. What does preview mean. Punch that and it also disappears.

I've done that a couple of times. Its the same as you would to post a message. I went to preview and puhed the back button to go back to my post and lost it. So now i enlarge it to read and correct anything and the submit button is larger to hit easier, try that.you can look it over in the same frame as your typing. Hope that helps.

I have had similar things happen (not only in Franktalk posts and PM-private messages) but in other programs as well, Facebook Messenger, etc.
Usually, in FrankTalk. I can find my message by scrolling up or down (because the preview button sometimes sends me up to the preview and my message is down below, or I may have scrolled down to view prior posts or messages). So, searching both up and down might reveal your typing than has cone off the VISIBLE screen but is actually still on the screen, just above or below the margins.
The "Back" button sometimes will take you back to where you were composing the message. Just remember, after you hit "Back" once, scroll up an down to search the entire screen, both visible and spilled over.
One sure-fire way to not lose your composition (and your composure) is to write your message in a word processor and then copy-paste the finished, fully edited and proof-read message. In that way, if it disappears permanently from FrankTalk, you still have it in the word processor for another run at getting it posted.

When I compose long posts I now copy them before trying to send. It used to drive me crazy when it happened to me.

Re: PM , how is it used?
I had trouble with PMs until I followed this sequence: (1) enter recipient, (2) push ADD, (3) enter subject, (4) write message, (5) push SUBMIT.
If I have a long message I'll SAVE DRAFT and push YES after (4) so I can come back and add/change later. (Don't forget the YES button or it won't be saved.) I think this is the best way to preserve what you've written. I don't know what PREVIEW does, never use it.

Re: PM , how is it used?
With pretty much all of my PMs and also regular thread posts, if it's anything longer than a couple of sentences, I highlight my text and copy it to the clipboard before I click on anything else. Just make sure you don't copy anything else to the clipboard before you're sure it posted. Like deciding to copy and add a link to your text, which just erased from the clipboard your text you'd previously copied to the clipboard to protect. Otherwise paste it into some sort of word processor until you're ready to post it. Sometimes I'll paste it onto the bottom of some other document I have up or on the desktop to save it there temporarily and then delete it from that document later. I've been burned too many times in the past to not take such precautions.

The wisdom that comes with old age does not come alone and it is not for the faint of heart.
