Not cycling until week 3
My docs office decided I was a bit too sore to cycle on week 2, so I’ve been put off until week 3. I’m a bit disappointed but I’m just icing extra this final week. Week 3 seems to be on the later end of normal to begin cycling? I trust my doctors office, I just don’t wake scar tissue to take over. When did you we finally get to cycle and how did it affect your end result?

Re: Not cycling until week 3
Just my humble opinion. Sounds like your doc is listening to your body and tailoring your convalescence to what it’s telling him. That’s a good thing. This isn’t one size fits all stuff.
I was encouraged to try a bit of cycling at week two. It definitely wasn’t pump it up until I screamed. That first week I might have squeezed the bulb 5 or 6 shallow squeezes each time....probably enough to fill cylinders maybe 25%.
Pain and discomfort and swelling and bruising are indicators. Sounds like the doc sees you as a patient, not strictly his paycheck. Medicine tailored to the individual is definitely what you want.
Another week won’t make a damned bit of difference in big scheme of things. In a week you’ll start to cycle pretty conservatively. You’ll get comfortable and pump more and more and wonder (later) what the big deal was.
I’m convinced your follow up care, at frequent intervals, is gonna give you a dynamite outcome. You’ll probably be the most popular dude down at the Love Shack.

You've probably got a point there. I didn't see the doc, but did see his NP and the Coloplast rep who was going to instruct me on how to pump up (since he's implanted himself). He told me he didn't start until week 3 and sizing ended up as expected, no problem. It just made me concerned reading all of these posts, "the sooner you start cycling the bigger it will be!!!". Perhaps, I'm just generally anxious to move to the next stage of the healing process, but rushing is not my friend in this case. That said, I was still in pain this Tuesday when the NP was moving it around. I iced but I did not pop and oxy and drive to the office. Next week, I have arranged a ride so it can finally being.

Well considering we have the exact same implant and size and your dimensions are my best hope, I am glad to hear that from you! Also, obviously, glad everything worked out for you.

I developed a tear in my sack around 2 1/2 weeks . I couldn't cycle for a couple weeks and you know my story. Everything was fine and still is. Nothing to worry about.

Re: Not cycling until week 3
Following surgery I was sent home 70% inflated. At my first follow up appointment 12 days after surgery, my doctor took hold of my sac, pulled on the pump and started deflating me. OMG I thought I was going to pass out or throw up on him from the pain. He then re-inflated to about 30%; hurt like hell. There was no way I could have started cycling at 2 weeks. He had me scheduled for an appointment with the AMS rep at 4 weeks and I got the go ahead to begin cycling. It went, and is going fine. I was cleared for sex at 6 weeks, and I been going after it almost daily ever since. All doctors seem to have different protocols, and think it best to do exactly what they tell us to do.

I'm almost a week post op, and will not be using it until week 3. That suits me just fine.
