AMS 700 LGX IPP

I have my first appointment to discuss getting an implant coming up in 4 weeks. I would appreciate hearing from the brotherhood regarding the AMS 700 LGX and how it functions to increase girth and length. Thanks in advance for sharing your personal experiences.

The idea is that if there is room the LGX will expand in length and girth. But there needs to be room for this to happen. I suggest you go to the general section of this forum and read the papers in the documents worth reading thread about size loss and maintaining size. ED causes size loss when nocturnal erection stop or are diminished enough to keep penis tissue healthy and elastic. Over time with cycling penis tissue can stretch a bit and in time size can be increased but it is very slow. And after many years of IPP use when a replacement is done many have a larger device implanted. The key word in all of this is can. That is not to say it will. And after you are fully healed, usually after 3 months but depends on the patient and the doctor, you can decide to do long stretching inflations to stretch the penis tissue. This is a lot of work for the first year. The second shows retaining size pre vs post op by VED use. It should be noted that in the second study that the men were activated at a mean of 8 days post op and encouraged to start cycling. So this may have more to do with early activation as out lined in a publication about the "Coffin" effect that you can read in the documents worth reading section. But it seems more doctors are starting to add VED therapy.

Things to remember are that with anything you can cause damage and cause size loss if you over do it. So heed the warnings for VED use to pump slowly and keep the vacuum low. And I do not know how your graft will do in regards to this and something you need to talk to a very good doctor about. There may be risks from this. But a very good doctor woud be able to do test to know the condition of your tissue and be able to properly advise you.

My personal experience is that I had gains out past one year with long stretching inflations. I did not use VED. But this is a choice I made on my own and not with a doctors advice. So I assumed the risk myself. I have not had a graft.

Do your research and talk with very good doctors on this. Best of luck going forward on this.

I am interested in your story as I am now 6weeks post op Ams Lgx. I note Ams market the Lgx as being able to increase on average up to 3cm in length in the first 12 months. However as everyone is different I would suggest this comes with a serious "caveat".

As I have stated here before, I suffered from ED for many years and as I was a younger guy decided to ignore it and bury my head in the sand. This certainly left me shorter than my pre ED years , but I cannot do anything about this now and just need to move on.

You mentioned long stretching inflations, can you give me further information on this. My surgeon was quietly optimistic that I may benifit from the possible Lgx expansion features and so I am determined to do everything I can to try gain back any losses through cycling routines.

Inflate to max and that includes any partial pumps you can get it. then wait 3-5 minutes and try to pump some more. You keep repeating for 1/2 hour twice a day or if it causes pain. The object is to feel stretching and as that subsides to pump some more. This can be done for up to 1 hour if you do not have pain. Heat and massage helps the tissue stretch also.

I also ignored my ED as I was in a failed marriage and was past even having sex. And after my divorce I had no interest in another relationship with a woman. So by the time I finally wanted to do something I had a problem even bring this up with my doctor. So it went on even longer. By the time I did try to get help nothing worked. And the process was long. Months of trying pills and more trying to get injections to work. And local care was very minimal. The only test I have ever had for ED was a piss test. I never even received a professional injection nor any instruction on inflating my device other than being asked if I could find the deflate button. So size wise I had not indication where I was at save a stretch test. I had trouble with my device and with my first surgery with a proximal perforation and a problematic pump. The pump problem went on for weeks with my first surgeon saying he could fix the problem in seconds but refused to see me. He had also refused to see me after the surgery with another problem where the cylinder tips had pulled out of the glans and down into my shaft. Then after weeks of problems with the pump the first surgeon wrote in an e-mail that I have saved that he had no idea what to do to fix the pump issue as he had never had the issue last as long as mine did and I made a post on this problem and was able to get a fix that mostly corrected the problem. viewtopic.php?t=10021 So when I first started inflating my tips were over 1/2 inch below my glans. One almost twice that and only one cylinder would inflate. The other would inflate slowly only after the left was fully inflated to the max. The tips did eventually go up into the glans but as the left inflated normally and the right only after the left was fully inflated the left tip pushed to the outside and low and the right tip pushed to the center.

I wrote all that to explain my unusual numbers to answer you question about size gains. My first problematic inflation was in the 4" range. I had significant gains once the pump was mostly fixed and was in the 5" range a few months later when I first had sex with a woman. Then it took about 9 months to reach my current size of just a bit over 6". My healthy youth measurement was 7" with full glans engorgement. So I lost about 3/4" to my years with ED and doing nothing about it. I did have a second surgery for the proximal perforation but this fix was incomplete and both cylinders are still not pushing equally up in the glans. Had they both been pushing equally or even if they were now I most likely would have been able to gain back a bit more.

I did follow my doctors instructions to the letter and did not do the long pump adding (forcing pumps) until I was 12 weeks post op. So ask your doctor about this and follow your doctors instructions. Then after you are fully healed you can decide about the long pump adding inflations.

I am hoping given time I may reach close to the 6" mark. However, my penis now works and this beats any concerns over size. I sometimes laugh how anti implant I was when my surgeon first mentioned it to me. Now I just wish I had done it years ago. Hoping for many many happy years of enjoyment.

I had pain when full inflated for over a year, but everyone is different. At 3 years I can pump to a rock and keep it that way for an hour without pain.

I set 6" as the length I would be happy with going into to this. My fault for not doing something earlier. And I was able to have sex with women after the first surgery. So that part is the great part. I really missed the close intimate contact with a women and being able to now achieve an erection has improved my life greatly. But the problems I have had and the pain in having sex with a woman is the not so good part. I am close to or at 6.25" now and may get there yet but I am over 3 years on this and still have some issues. Just have that in the back of my head that if I would not have had all the problems and a perfect outcome the first surgery how much more fun and maybe a bit more size I could have had. I am looking again for women to date and will see how much of the pain is gone. If that is not reduced enough then I am looking at another surgery next year when I start Medicare. With still having one cylinder inflate slightly faster and not equal help from the other I have a tip that is up 95% in my glans and the other about 85%. And now the right cylinder is the faster inflator and it has a curve like this) where the left is straight. Could have been worse. But it could have been better also.

I have no wish to not have this or to stop working on fixing the issues I have. I will get there if I do not die first.

My thoughts on the Lgx,… First of all I’m just 2 weeks out from my reservoir and pump revision so- I have not been cycling at all and was curtailed from cycling before second surgery due to an infection So- not a lot of time invested in cycling thus far.
Looking froward to making up for that down time. Now that things are as they should be and hope to be singed off this Friday.
Before first surgery I lobbied hard for the Lgx because I felt it would mimic the real thing the best of our options. My Dr was leaning towards the Cx but went with the Lgx after more measurements. I was 6L&5G before the implant and after I was 5x5 so I lost no garth and the few short weeks I was able to cycle and VED was happy to put on about a 1/2” in Length. Now I’m hoping to regain my 6”. Like Newbe I have decided that would be my basic line ( was over 7” pre peyronies ) that would be a nice gift if it all came back-Lol.
The thing I like about the Lgx is that when flaccid my dick really “shrinks” about 2 inches and it hangs pretty well, (still a bit of a shower over my old Ed dick) when pumped it goes out about to 5 plus inches. When I pump the tubes seems to really focus on the garth measurement before the length comes on strong. I would say my pain comes from the sides before the tip starts to hurt. I will post in a year’s time when I have more data to share and its a bit more definitive and less anecdotal.
So all and all if you want more natural size shift- the Lgx is good as it gets, if you want to show (not a bad thing) a Cx can be a good choice if your Dr like mine only deals w/ AMS. My Dr said he will use a 18cm + Rte’s before a 21 as he feels they are less problematic then the larger tubes when I asked why I didn’t just get the 21cm.
