Hello Gents ,
Im wondering if anyone has had any experience similar to how I am feeling now. Im post op 2 weeks , ams lgx 18cm 3cm rte. Everything seemed to be going very well after surgery until around 48hrs after I finished my course of antibiotics. About a week ago.
I started to feel a bit flu like symptoms. Covid test etc - negative.
Exact symptoms are- chills , aches , minor cough, minor shortness of breath.no fever or temperature. Sweating a lot in bed at night. I only noticed a very small bit of puss on my incision on my testicals a day ago , no more than 3cm. Rest of the scar looks ok. I am in no pain down there and the pump seems to be moving freely.
I have started a course of antibiotics today having talked to my surgeon. Unfortunately I only noticed the puss after speaking to him. I will see him next week but as this is my first implant I am now extremely nervous I have an infection. If I do , is it treatable without taking the whole device out and more surgery.
Really hope some of you guys can help me.
Thank you.
Patrick

You should notify your surgeon of the puss. May not change things but it may I do not know. The key is to involve the doctor as early as possible to any signs and symptoms to get the best treatment. By getting the doctor involved and with as much information as possible will make for a better outcome. And hopefully if you do have to have the device removed they can either do a wash out and either place another inflatable or malleable to prevent size loss.
Best of luck going forward with this and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Re: Possible infection - first timer and very nervous
Thank you Newbie443 for your response.
I am seeing him on Tuesday, unfortunately this is the earliest time as I am in a different country.(europe).
Luckily I have started my course of antibiotics a few hours ago and if I'm honest I do feel slightly better in terms of less chills/aches etc. Im just nervous about having to go through the whole thing again!
I have zero pain or discomfort in any part of the operation site. The only thing is this very small bit of puss on the wound and only in a very small area.(approx 3cm). It hasnt oozed out or anything. Could it be possible that it could be a local infection just on the wound?... or am I just having wishful thinking!
Many Thanks.

I don't know but as I said I would contact the doctor about the puss and maybe take a picture to send as you are out of country. It may or may not change anything but I can't see how it would hurt and giving your doctor as much information as you can would help him help you I think.
Wishing the best for you on this.
