Re: Nervous but ready!
Congratulations on your decision. It is an exciting time. I am now just over seven weeks since my implant surgery and loving life! I will admit--the first couple weeks are critical. Follow doctor's orders and ice is your best friend. I still remember how my anticipation turned into excitement as I walked into the surgery center on the morning of my implant surgery and realized that my years of ED were coming to an end. There was some nervousness, yes, but I had confidence in my doctor and my decision. It is life changing not to have performance anxiety. No longer do I need to stick a needle in my penis or take a pill and hope that an erection arrives in time for the main event. Ask your questions--your new friends are here to support you.

Re: Nervous but ready!
I was so scared before and I wasted all that time worrying! It really didn’t hurt at all. Recovery was hard the first week and some burning but the fact I get get a hard on anytime I want is special stuff and you will feel glad you did!

A huge proportion of men, after they get an implant, in the first few days/weeks after the surgery, ask themselves, "What the fuck did I DO to myself?!?!?" in a moment (or hours or days) of an extreme case of "buyer's remorse".
I spent a LIT of energy (and time) researching implants and learning about E.D. and impotence. Most of the time was spent searching for a surgeon I wanted to entrust my sexual future to.
I do not regret the delay.
I never had a single moment of nervousness over the surgery, such was the confidence I had in my surgeon.
Knowledge is power and dispels fear.
Go forth and fuck happy.
(Who the heck is this person, Happy, who will certainly be well-satisfied.?)

As you say that you spend over hours and hours looking for a surgeon did you find one that you wanted or one that was a appointed to you

Ill definitely keep you guys updated once the day comes and exactly the reason why I decided to go for it is because I do not like the injections I hate the fact that has to be planned Also when I'm drunk I can't do the injection, and pill no longer work for me

Congrats on taking the next step!
I have to say when ED hit I was a wreck. Sex has been my life, I love fucking. Pills got to the point they didn't work and gave me migraines the next day. Injections were fine for a couple years then they started to not work. Had to increase the dose to such a high point to get an erection my dick would hurt for two days after.
My implant was done blind, I didn't know anything other than the surgeon was going to put stuff in my dick to make it work again. He didn't give me much for follow up instructions either, like cycling. So you are way ahead of the game reading posts and asking questions here at FT.
Now that I'm healed and well used to having the implant it has been the best change in my life ever. When the wife wants some I don't have to hop out of bed to go inject. I don't have to plan an hour ahead to pop a pill. The best part is if I happen to shoot off before the wife gets off my dick doesn't shrink down and flop out. I can go on her until she gets off a few times or she gets sore!

14 Months from the day a urological consult regarding implant was authorized until choosing one.
I met with two local surgeons who did not impress me with their communicative style, though their surgical expertise was sufficient. I communicated with Dr Eid and Dr Kramer and found them both acceptable for their willingness to accept me as part of my healthcare team, but getting authorization to use the Maryland VA (Dr Kramer was my choice based on ease of travel and lodging in Maryland vs New York) was problematic. (I wish to add that both those men are, in addition to their reputations on FrankTalk, impressed me with their caring and willingness to answer my questions-by email- and humanitarian attitude and dedication to patient welfare, evidenced by testimonials here on FrankTalk and reading between the lines of the emails they sent to me.)
So, when Alaska VA offered Dr Walsh in Seattle (Washington VA), I flew there for an interview. I did not like the surgical procedure they used (and Dr Walsh had left the practice and his second, Dr. Ostrowski was on leave and Dr. Brisbane, in his Urological surgery Residency rotation, outlined the procedure they would use.
Ultimately, a travel nurse with whom I had shared my situation (and, at first was not helpful at all) called me (I suppose she reached out because, despite her opposition to my travel plans, I was polite at all times and obviously determined) and volunteered the information that Dr. Shaw (who had actually taught the procedure) had be recently assigned to the local Air Force Base Hospital. She asked if I would be willing to consider him. YES!!!!
So, figuratively and literally, Dr. Shaw fell into my lap.
We met, I was immediately impressed by his caring demeanor and dedication to a favorable outcome and willingness to talk with me at length about choices.
