3 Mo report. Some trials. Very happy!

I guess it is my turn to give back in hopes some might find a benefit as I have found benefits after hanging out here w/o much input. Thank you to all of the others that have preceded me on your ED journeys and have chosen to share your stories.
The benefit I have received has been quite significant in multiple ways including relieving stress just to know others have had similar experiences and often overcome challenges by having patience to allow for tincture of time for healing.
My implant was placed on Nov. 18, 2020 by Dr. George Abdelsayed with Kaiser Permante HMO in Anaheim, Ca.. I had consultations with 5, yes five urologist in the Kaiser system, 2 of which had referred me to Dr. George Because there were so few sources for public ratings or reviews in that environment I called his mentor, Dr. Levine in Chicago, he not only assured me that if he were in my situation looking for a top IPP surgeon he would have no reservations using Dr. George. I was also assured he had “great hands”. I felt that my due diligence was done and any more could well lead to analysis paralysis which I am fully capable of doing. We developed a comfortable relationship to the point at my last and final visit (unless there is a serious problem) I thought I would crack a joke. After he asked me several questions, he was then ready to do the exam and asked me to drop my pants. I told him “no, you show me yours 1st". He just smiled and said “you are feeling pretty frisky today”. And I was due to the success of his surgery and the optimism I felt.
Now at just over 3 months post-surgery these are my observations:
1. (Note: For perspective-Some of my history is in the signature below). I think it was helpful to be specific about my pre-surgery concerns to make sure they had been address. They included concerns about:
A. length and showed him a picture of my stretched flaccid penis at 7”. He reassured me both my wife and myself would be satisfied with the end result but did not guarantee me the 7”. Mostly done at 6.75-almost 7at 3 months
B. I wanted a glans that would engorge as it had been. I inquired here on Frank Talk about that and mostly got responses that said if it did before the surgery it would after. Both my surgeon and his assisting urologist (who was one of the ones that referred me to him) took issue with that notion and said an engorged glans post-surgery is not the norm. My thinking was that I would still hope for it but was prepared for much lower expectations as I knew my current ED circumstances were much worse and not acceptable. Not done- I don't get engorgement w/o an ED Rx or penile ring.
C. I wanted to minimize RTE if any. I have none.
D. I wanted to make sure all was done to get the cylinders into the glans as much as possible-Done.
2. The journey has not been stress free. Even though both the Dr. and I thought the healing went well. I was given the green light for activation on Dec. 19th. I was bummed out that with our 1st session with my wife I was not able to climax. However, I was able to climax 3 times during the month of December 19th. I did get a urinary tract infection in Jan. that cleared up w/o a problem. Here is where the stress came in- I was not able to climax once during the whole month of January, even before the UTI. Thankfully, after being put on cabergoline, things returned to a very satisfactory state. Currently we have sex every other day and I think there have been 3 times I was not able to climax. I expect one of those times I was trying to push it to the extent that 2 days prior when we had sex I climaxed. In addition, on that same day I masturbated twice with climaxes. An additional stressor is I haven’t been able to give my wife a descent climax, maybe a very faint one. Prior to serious ED I was able to give her 3 in one session. A complicating factor may be that I had a very successful back surgery 17 months ago (laminectomies with L4-S1 titanium rod fusions). I have since had the disk immediately above that location herniate. I’m trying to avoid an additional surgery while still attempting to squeeze joy out of life. My wife sometimes asks me to go faster when stroking when I thought I was.. At any rate, I think my core muscles weaken in the process and I am working with a good physical therapist to resolve. I told him of this problem.
3. Bottom line first- I am quite pleased and would recommend my surgeon to anyone with Kaiser Insurance. I do feel he is a world class surgeon that I would expect no one on this forum has heard of. There must be a take away here..
4. On my first follow up visit (2 weeks post-op) Dr. Abdelsayed asked me if I was satisfied with the length, “keeping in mind that few men ever are”. I was and I still am. Thank you. With the Coloplast Titan 22 cm (11cm internal /11cm external- doesn't make sense and still be 6.75 to 7”?) implant he was not only able to place the implant without any RTE but he also got the implant well into the glans, maybe 2/3 of the glans. I have a 125ml reservoir with a significant scar where it was placed. The scar relates to having had a laparoscopic bilateral hernia repair a few months before my IPP placement and having to make modifications to insure nothing was damaged by IPP surgery.
P.S. I had planned on adding a picture(s) but it isn't happening so far. Maybe I can later? Suggestions.
