Hello everyone. I got a huge doubt.
If i get implanted, my penis will never get anymore erections, basically. It means that, with time, the tissues will go in hypoxia, so even if i have a "residual erection" i can say goodbye to it after some years. So my questions are:
1) Is it possible, or even good practice, to use a Vacuum Device even if i am implanted a couple of times a week for 15 minutes, in order to keep glans, corpus spongiosum and what remains of my corpora cavernosa oxygenated? Anyone here doing so?
2) Is there anyone here which had a "residual erection" while implanted and then lose it after years of implant?
3) Is there anyone which had glans engorgement with an implant and then lose it after years of implant?
Thank you really much guys!!!

Your concern about hypoxia is not entirely true. Even though implanted, I (as do some other men) get some degree of tumescence from time to time throughout the night. I really cannot remember the last morning I awoke without having "morning wood" in the past year. Please understand that I'm not saying I get any sort of USABLE ERECTION. Far from it, but I do get blood flow through the tissues and it occurs sufficiently to cause some noticeable tumescence or slight engorgement (about the equivalent to a soft "semi-erection"). I can also feel the morning wood in my crus, which in my case is just to the underside of the pubic bone and no deeper.
That being said, vacuum very possibly could still help if you are able to use it. I have found that with the placement of my corporotomies and tubing so distally (just outside of my pubic area, on either side of my penis shaft) it is difficult to get the VED cylinder to seal and with the silicone sleeve it doesn't fit over the base of my shaft now.
I'm right at one year (10/28/2019 to 10/29/2020) and still this morning had a chubby when I awoke so one year and still getting semis in the morning.

Re: Using Vacuum Device while having an implant: doubt.
There have been posts about VED use after implant. I tried it once and had very bad pain and have not used it again. My AMS user DVD does state some doctors may advise VED use to some patients after surgery. I have spoke to one doctor who has recomended I use VED now. I have a problem also with sealing the VED at the bottom of my shaft. There is nothing there to seal and it will pull the scrotal and lower shaft skin into the VED. So like many thing this will vary from one man to another. With the studies on VED use prior to surgery to prevent size loss and the information posted and recommended by doctors and device manufactures I would say that there is some worth to VED use after surgery with some men. This would be a good question to ask the doctors you are considering to do your surgery. Best of luck going forward with this.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

I have the same problem. The location of the pump valve body is high in my scrotum and presses on the mouth of the VED. I have considered relieving the mouth of the VED (with careful smoothing) to accommodate the shape so as to get a good seal. But I didn't want to go machining on such an expensive medical device. Alternatively, I might get a piece of PVC of the right size to make an extension which could be shaped to fit my profile (and if I screw it up, no permanent harm done to the VED).
Those solutions, or just adding padding, which may or may not leak vacuum/air.
Good luck.

My problem is different in that to VED has nothing to seat on at the bottom and will pull the sctorum up into the VED tube.

Some VED makers have an insert of a smaller diameter than the tube. This makes it easier to keep the scrotum from being sucked in. I also had success (using the VED before my implant when my scrotum tended to get sucked in) simply by holding my scrotum and testes with my free hand. I don't know if that will work for you, but if you haven't tried it (and changing the angle that you are holding the VED), you might find it works.
Or a closed-cell foam rubber donut over your penis.
Good luck.

I've seen those flat donuts made of (I believe), closed-cell polypropylene foam that are intended for VED use, they're marketed as "V.E.D. Body Shield" on ErecAid's website.

Or, if you are a backpacker you might have a sleeping pad (they sell for about $10-same price as ErecAid's Shield- and just cut a corner off (which you don't sleep on anyway) and trim to fit. Or, if you used the whole sleeping pad, you might get 50 bodyshields.

Re: Using Vacuum Device while having an implant: doubt.
My problem pre surgery was scrotal webing up to my glans. And I used those items. Used a small hole tall sleeve and it worked best but as I pumped it would pull my penis through and the scrotal sack a bit more. I went to streching exercises and cut back on VED use. Now my problem is the one time I tried VED use post surgery was extreme pain cause by my RTE's. Lasted for days. I am worried about doing serious damage so I trashed my VED's so I would not do that again. Maybe when I get my problems fix I will get another one but now I need to stay away from them. Local guys would just remove my device and leave me with nothing if I can't keep this one going or I have infection.

I bought the Erec-Aid scrotal protector. It is a thin piece of rubber and may or may not protect against scrotal tissue being pulled in. I bought two and neither worked for me. It may work for you.
