Hello.
I live in Italy, Europe. I would like to know if AMS and TITAN offer a warranty and what the warranty covers.
Considering i'm young, i know i'll have to do many revisions and if, for example, every 5 year my implant stops working, i would like to place the one which is warranted so i only pay the surgery which is like 6000$ every 5-6 years, so really affordable.
So my questions are:
1) Are AMS and TITAN warranted? How many years?
2) What does the warranty cover? Obviously my failures will be because of a lot of sex and probably every 5 years i will have to do a revision.
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!! Please note that in every country, these enterprises have different policies. So, i would like to hear the answers for people who live in Europe or know the warranty policy of AMS and Titan in Europe, better if in Italy..
Thank you very much guys!!

Why can't you email both companies asking this question? Better to hear it from them than from an internet stranger.

Ehy bro, you're right. I did. Coloplast Italy didn't answer my question, unfortunately. Now i'm waiting for Boston Scientific to answer to my email.
But i would love to know from "real people" too

I don’t know yet about what they cover but on you 5 year thing. I’m 8 years and I’ve used this bad boy most every day some time 3-5 times in 24hrs I have truely made up for the years of no sex so I think 5 years is way too short a time!! I’ve read different percentages for implant life I personally think the average must be 10 years and remember most people on frank talk have had some issues or just that the people that are fine don’t come on it anymore..

USA here, but pretty sure whatever they tell you, its for the implant itself, not the operation.
Here in the US, its roughly 15 years, IF everything goes well.

Wow, that's fantastic! So you're using everyday since 8 years? NICE! This makes me really more confident. I've read from Dr. Eid website that, using it 1-2 times per week, it will last 10-15 years, let's say 12 years average.
Since i am planning to use it at least 3-4 times per week, it means 6 years lifespan

Re: AMS and TITAN warranties
The point is, the implant is good until it's not good and that may be far greater than the statistical mean or far less. Sometimes (any) equipment has premature failure and has to be replaced. Sometimes the same equipment may far outlast any warranty that was given, providing life well into it's cross into "VINTAGE" category (again, ANY equipment).
Even with moving parts such as the bulb and valves, tubes and cylinder bladders in an inflatable implant, things may factor into what permits longevity, such as how often it was inflated to 100% capacity instead of 90-95% usable capacity, how often after reaching 100% capacity the user continued to try with all their might to put more in (possible cause for premature tubing failures or aneurysms of the cylinders).
Inflating until usably rigid for sex but not hard enough to "drive nails" will no doubt in my mind provide more longevity than pumping until it hurts each time. I find when I do the latter, the tubing also gets quite rigid and stands out pretty prominently between my dick and balls, as well.

Waynetho, I'd like to point out something that most members don't take into consideration. Many times the body sees an implated medical device as a foreign invader. As such, your body might try to attack it or wall it off (encapsulate) with scar tissue. The body has a remarkable self protection capabilities.

Re: AMS and TITAN warranties
You can google and get the warranty doc for coloplast. I did find one dated 2017. Not sure if it is current anymore or not. Did not see the ams anywhere.
Your surgeon has to make the request for the return and replacement. I have a feeling it is not a real simple procedure. They specifically state only replace if a manufacturer's defect. If they decide you did something to cause it or say you have an accident or it gets damaged by another procedure, or you get an infection and it comes out. Looks like you will not be getting warranty coverage.
Also, no other costs covered at all. They just give you a replacement. If they get the bad unit and decide it is not covered, you get a bill. I know in one case on here, i believe coloplast said they wanted the bad unit first.
The warranty language looks like they just give an authorization after talking to your doctor. Provide a replacement for surgery. Take old one back, analyze what happened. Either bill you or cover it based on what they find out. Looks a bit confusing.
I remember one poster a while back say ams gave him a replacement for his revision.
